I have just had a similar problem. Go see your doctor.

Constantly blocked up nose and kept getting nosebleeds. I went to my doctor and found out it was all an adverse reaction to me welding and grinding (particals irratating my nose)

There was alot of swelling on my sinus and annanoids?? I was givern some antibiotics and i'm loads better now. Had to change my job because of it.

Have you had a go on either of those Dahons?

I really like folding bikes  Especially the Mu range (Mu Uno of course being SSer) I think the Mu's have really good frames and a quality range of parts. Parts you can pick up almost anywhere as apposed to brompton.

The vitesse is again a very good bike, Give them a go and take you pick

If you need to buy a new chain, anything from a 8 speed, kmc/sram/shimano one up to a full on track chain will do.

Check which will fit through your tensioner though.

Have you also tried moving the chain tensioner to adjust tension?

I don't think I'm expecting too much from staff to give consistent advise over the phone and save me a morning wasted removing forks and train to the shop

An item really does need to be seen in person before a warranty promise or correct analysis of what happens can go ahead.

ps : funny how it gets nominated 10/10 for "Trail Bike Of The Year" for the last 4/5 years !!!!!!!

Yeah i've always thought it was funny that the companies that hand free bikes to magazine staff and put up loads of advertising revenue get 10/10 awards and "awards"

I may be a good bike, but there is no way you could say its good value for money.

Heres a link to a picture of a broken Pace RC31:

And a picture of a broken steel chain, does this mean i need to go to a belt drive? as my chain could fail catastrophically throwing me over my bars.

    The Godfather
This should help you out, This has helped so many people i know (including myself) build wheels.

Not ideal to use same spokes, but i have known people do it (with same rims)

Yes in some terms I should have said RRP.

You only need to spend as much as you need to. Set yourself a budget but good shoes are worth the money.

a Pair of £100rrp shoes are alot better then £35rrp pair, Similar with bike £2.5krrp is going to do the same job as £500rrp one but the £2.5k will get you there easier and more comfortably.

There is alot of technology in running that can help you run faster and eaiser especially if you are recovering from an injury.

I started running after a broken leg and could manage about 3k before the pain set in (wearing a pair of cheap nikes from sports direct)

I went to a sweatshop with a lass i know who does alot of running, They did an analysis and i bought the Brooks shoes they recommended and it has made a massive difference even just walking round the shop they felt so much more comfortable. I paid around £100 for them.

I turned up to do the 70k got to the second feed station and found out i'd nearly finished the 50k.

It was ok, i felt it a bit much of a drag from the first feed up the road then across all those grass fields.

The amount of fields and roads annoyed me a bit. but the weather was worse.

Think i did it in just over three and half hours, which with the traffic, weather and a SS bike i was happy with.

    Trek didn't always own them!

No they haven't but they bought Gary Fisher bikes in 1993 from a taiwanese company.

So all this "its a shame he's selling" actually happened 20 years ago before many of us got into riding bikes.

Keith and Gary have made their pennies. Well done them. Why not retire in a little comfort after selling out thoroughly

Trek have owned Gary Fisher Bikes longer then Gary Fisher ever did. He sold out in the early 90's

You can quote any website you want but i am yet to see ANY carbon mtb forks that have snapped through approved use or infact at all. I have seen carbon forks where the legs have seperated from the crown through poor bonding and I have seen this happen on countless sus and aluminium forks.

With carbon being a new and "scary plastic" material there will always be nay sayers generally in most cases those who have never actually used the item in question (very common on this forum).

Companies like Nuke Proof, Pace, Niner, Trek etc that make these products have poured 1000's of £/$ into testing and design so through correct use they are NOT any more likely to break then anyother material.

Bike parts break its a fact, There is NO part/bike that you could put on a site like this that someone somewhere hasn't broken or dislike.

Name an english player that has proven that they are world class week in week out.

Name any player that is world class week in week out.

If those players are world class why aren't they getting constant offers to play for the big European clubs!?

Because besides Real Madrid and Barcelona no other club can afford their wages. Also look at the results of Premier League clubs in the Champions League. They HAVE proved themselves. The Premier League is the best league in the world and the level of talent in it is higher than any other.

I don't think the holes do anything, do you allready have them on the m9do's? i think they where just to make the deores look like em,

Same with taking the extra bits of where the chainring sits

Did he take the bike from the shop?

If yes there probally not a lot he can do. Unless he can PROVE the damage was caused by something or someone in the shop.

Like this "Bradford Ladies of the Night" theme bike but with maps.

    Singlespeed_Shep

    1. get a map of Yorkshire.
    2. cut it up and glue it to your frame.
    3. cut out pictures of your favorite emmerdale charactors and stick them on.
    4. spray layers of laquer over the top. 8 coats should do it.

    Job Done.
