I'm amazed at how many people on here who "know all" about bikes whine on about the service they get in Evans, If you know better:

    A: Buy it online
B: Go in the shop and ask for the item rather than asking advice of some kid then moaning about his shit advice
C: Go somewhere else there are plenty of other shops.

Depends weither it is in stock at their warehouse or a store. If its coming from a store it will take atleast a week to get back to warehouse and then sent out.

I think we should ban anyone who rides a bike from trail centres. They only causes upset and drama.

I can't find the damn thing or where i can buy one.

Thought it might "be right" because of the locating pin on the pistons and the fact the pads can't slide out with rotor in.

Raddogair – its nothing to with chainring size its the BCD, bolt mountings are the problem they foul on the BB.

Sam What frame did you use the 105 on? Its one of your swifts that i'm playing with.
Think i'm just going to with a chain tensioner.

I'll be running single speed. I need a chainset with large BCD to stop fouling on my trick stuff bb

Go try some on, everyones bodies are differnent and one will be far more comfortable on you than another and provide a better fit.

I really like the veggie knee, and have had some good raceface pads.

York Ring road is shocking I work in Thirsk 23 miles away and the journey must take nearly an hour, More than half of which is Acomb to Skelton which is 5-6 miles

Ah sorry martin was just going on what Mr Port said as he works there.

Hope it goes well, and you sort your traveling.

I must admid £30 seems about right, Because a bike couldn't be used because it had no rear wheel and probally a mechanic fitted it and sorted cassette and rotor.

They could have just said no, rent a bike.

Lesson learnt in checking bike over.

Its a sad world when people complain a trail is to bumpy for their mountain bikes.

Same thing happened to me, a hacksaw through the bubble/buldge that the pin goes into and it dropped off.

If you bought a condom, and it was to short. Would you go back to the shop and ask for a refund becuase its "not fit for purpose". Bollox it is fit for purpose just not for you. There are plenty of items that taken out of their packaging and used are not returnable.

Why did the OP not just wrap the tape without removing the sticking taping bit. Realise its to short and just send it back? I think its more a case that because it has been stuck to the bars it becomes used.

The tape would fit some bars just not the majority.

"not fit for purpose" is a phrase that is thrown about to much these days.

At the end of the day i really don't care and wonder why i bother typing some times. i just kind of have too. I do research into stuff I buy and where i buy them from.

I love thread like this, oftern makes me piss my pants, Keyboard warriors trying to take down a bike company.

I there a store out there that has not upset a customer??

At the end of the day it serves to OP right. Buys unbranded cheap bar tape from a discount online shop and expects it to be dogs bolloxs. You should have bought some better stuff and it would have saved all this. all for £3-4.

I'd def buy one if a uk company came up with one, and parts where easier to get hold of over here.

I will always wear a helmet, my kids and wife will always wear helmets and thats all that matters to me. So I don't really care what the law is.

At the end of the day a helmet is only there to make you look stupid.
