I usually go for a far better rear one than front. 2x Cateye ld610 on the rear and 2x cateye el450 on the front. Both one flashing and one static.

My jacket also has loads of reflective strips

This has done me fine through a city and out on country lanes.

Almost every shop deals with madison who do wheels manufacturing and they do a mech hanger for almost every frame.

90% of all dropouts welded etc into frames are generic so allot of mech hangers can fit 4/5 different frames.

exactly – new pads are not a fiddle. They are a consumable that the brakes are designed to to have changed.

I ment fiddle, as in change, alter, adjust.

The brake was fine, after it was touched, adjusted, it broke. Ashima could quite easily say pads where fitted incorrectly and jammed.

Ashima have a terrible track record. Look at the pancake brakes, recalled twice I think when they finally got released

50% to 40% usually if you want to sell it easily.

    Brakes work Fine
    I fiddle with brakes
    Brakes “Brake”

I think unfortunetly there isn’t really much of an argument against Ashima unless you can prove all parts where fitted correctly especially as its you Vs Zyro. I have the same rotors and have not been impressed really with them.

    Sorry bout wrist.

Lots of online retailers sell stuff they don’t have, like Wiggle,

Available in 24hours, They have it,

Available in 2-3days our suppliers have it and will send it next day, then we’ll send it next day.

Fine in my eyes if they are honest that you will get it in 3-5 days

Until you ride for a team that tells you what to ride, Ride what you want, I switched from carbon to a simple steel surly pacer with full Dura-Ace 7900 and doubt I’ll look back such a lovely ride.

    I’;m 6’2″ and 14 stone, with a 35″ inside leg

    I have currently two 29ers

A large swift (2nd one i’ve owned) with drops and a Fat front tyre pace RC129 in a large both fit me fine and ride beautifully,

I’d really look through classifieds and ebay and wait for a good 2nd hand one. i built my first swift rigid for £560 with deore hydro brakes, chainset and some nice finsing kits then upgraded till i bought a new frame

2nd hand you could build a singular swift, or a few other nice options, but new the inbred is a good option

32-18 is a very good benchmark to start with

Yeah just outside thirk, So will be out on the moors on it a bit, planning to put a fat front tyre on it, but also have plenty of parts to build it conventionally.

I know you don’t like my links Dev but click this[/url]

    2nd hand?

But in my honest opinion, 2 years should in most cases be sufficiant to work out if there is a manufacturing defect.

Shep I reckon that would crack too! As for your other link – get some time in n00b. The gonad isn’t my only bike, that’s the reason why it hasn’t been ridden much over the last 3 years.

    🙁

toys19, I didn’t pay full price no, but I also know how much it has been ridden over the last 3 years and it’s not a massive amount. So if the fault is metal fatigue then it has happened within 2 years and given the condition of the frame when I got it it wasn’t ridden hard at all previously. Not unless the original owner was a bikey panel beater par excellence. 2k for 2 and a bit years of riding is steep

Part of the reason the RRP is high on bikes and frames is to pay for the aftersales. If you don’t pay for it don’t expect to get it.

And you didn’t pay 2k for 2 years riding did you? Bike don’t have a millage built into them like cars do so they only go on age, and 5 years is getting on the life expectancy of most grades of aluminium in this useage.

Theres no evidence jungle where harsh to you, your just pissed that they didn’t give you a frame which probally cost them what you paid for your second hand one. I’ve never ever heard of anyone who doesn’t get what they want and say “but they where nice about the fact I wanted the moon on a stick”

Mine wasn’t as aggressive as that as it was a 57cm with 700c wheel. Very similar to the original photo which is of an awesome bike.

    I SS’s a Patriot 66,

Used a pauls melvin at the rear and e13 at the front then a wheels manufacturing SS kit that has large spacers either side of the cog to keep the chain on it.

    Worked a treat.

    bit of a resurection but…

    Cheers guys

Ben its a standard halo spin doctor with 7 cogs off an ambrosio shimano splined campag 10 speed cassette. Really struggled with chainline on a full block, so running a few spacers on the inside.

But i bet most of you clowns saying you dont NEED F.S are using
Big soft compound tires – which you dont need
Disc brakes – which you dont need
    indexing gears
    SPD’s
    wide riser bars

nope, singlespeed, v-brakes, flat bars and egg-beaters but my 29 inches are refered to a clown bike 😆

Actually so too have trails – we are riding stuff now way more difficult than we did 10 / 20 years ago in general

Really, Apart from where the trails I ride across The NY Moors have worn a little they seem to be the same as they where 10/20 years ago.

I can happily say I don’t need a FS I just need a bike just like I did all those years ago.

I have a pair endura which have seen 4 years use.

Really good, use them nearly all winter.

If you use them over bib shorts or slippy undershorts make sure you get some braces to hold em up or they’ll slide down when move on your saddle.
