Unlike other nations, where guns are legitimately owned as hunting tools, there is no real justification for anyone to own a firearm at a residential location in the UK. If you shoot for sport, you only shoot at a club/location with strict security measures, so why can’t the guns stay there?

I shoot in the local woods, Should register the woods for me to store my gun? Or leave it with the gamekeeper who all of a sudden would be holding 45+ shotguns

It a load of crap, plenty of innocent gun users who are no problem.

I have heard some laugfhable stuff on here before from the fantasists but this is ridiculous Guns are for killing – that is their only usage.

Not true, but as for killing they are an effective way of getting rid of vermin.

People will attempt to justify its all about sport but its actually all about killing and blood lust.

There are many disciplines in shooting just like cycling. You can’t compare a bi-athlete intentions to one of a big game hunter like you can’t compare a bmxer to a tourer.

    I go shooting.

It would be unfair to punish the masses because of the actions of a few.

I had a three bike bones, and thought it was great. You have to buy adaptors for cars with certain rear windows. so factor that into the cost.

I now have a pendle and think that is just as good and pretty sure its a little cheaper.

If its not made in Britain its foreign. I don’t care if the guy who makes it speaks Chinese or American English.

Just because its made in the far east doesn’t make it substandard.

I’d seriously think against steel, it has no benefits over alloy or carbon.

Alloy will last forever in wet conditions, Carbon is the same. A little heli tape on carbon will make it rock strike proof.

Why not go to a trail centre and test people there? They generally have all the gear.

Essentially BMXs come in one size. It’s not like MTB where you have 16″, 18″, 20″ frame, etc. There may be little variables (just like similar sized MTBs)

    No they don’t,

Most bmx frames are available in different sizes. The redline I have comes in loads of different sizes from mini through to pro xxxl, And that makes a huge difference to the ride of the bike.

Street/dirt frames will vary from 19″ through to some of the bigger ones at 21.5″

Race will be from 16/18″ through to a massive 23″

I read an article on Chris akrigg doing brakeless trials, Just at the time my SS had no brakes on it.

I took it for a little ride brought it back and left in the garage till the brakes came.

There are that many factors you can’t control on a trail that makes me think its a bad idea mtbing brakeless.

I don’t get how its unreasonable to ask if the OP needs a car.

He’s asked for advice on debt and said what he wants to spend money on.

I know plenty of people that “need” a car for a sub 8 mile commute. Its more than reasonable to ask what its for as here on a cycling forum as he could pick up a £100 hack bike put the rest of the money towards repayments every week.

The comment about would you say the same if he was stood next to you in the pub after a ride. Yes every time I would say the same.

This is certainly more race/xc than trail.

Depends if you are comparing with a 26″

Just because it takes the same fork travel doesn’t always mean its in the same category as its 26″ cousin

Its simple, good shops will evolve and stay open as they offer products and services,

The shops that are closing just aren’t good enough and why should we support them.

Wiggle will be on the high street soon to kill off bike shops.

I’m not religious in any way, unless something drastic happens I doubt ever will be,

But I fully support religion. (unless its pushed on other people)

Britain is certainly a Christian nation.

Does this not mean that animals are afforded rights under the act?

Not really the owner has a duty of care.

Dogs do not need to be on a lead because a livestock sign is up, that sign could of been there months and even if there was livestock in the field as long as they’re a respectible distance and not chasing or playing amonst them then no harm done.

No but it makes perfect sense for them to be on a lead. so they don’t chase or play amongst life stock. All it takes is a rabbit and a dog will be off. A heard of cattle that is spooked by a dog is very dangerous.

Not to mention respect for others. If your on land thats not yours then you should be respectful.

Yeah def take it back well within your rights,

Although do expect them to put up a fight. Even the best customer services would due to you riding a bent frame for 4.5 years.

Always helps to clean it up as best as you can for when you take it in.

You’ll be able to get quite a few bmx cranks that fit square taper or isis bb’s in 150-170mm,

I ran fixed off road, it was great on the flat. crap on big hills. Make sure you take some spare pads if you do a decent ride as you’ll go through em quick.

IMHO Give it a go with normal cranks and watch what your doing, short cranks feel sh!t and give you less power.

hopefully means the Basil would win the auction and stop other innocent party being drawn into it.

I’d be annoyed if i’d won a bike that turned out to be stolen and the person that knew did nothing, and then have to go through the police.

    Welcome.

Just don’t take anything from anyone personally. Its that simple.

Most of the biggest tools on here are really nice away from their keyboards and on a bike.
