I think there are a lot of paths which just aren’t suitable for cyclists. mainly a dangerous to other users but also erosion, but then again there are a lot that are and should be changed to bridleways.

The main problem in my eyes is that there are to many cyclists who just aren’t respectful or sensible enough.

I see 32:18 seems to be the most common.

Something in my head though says bigger wheel (29) requires
    bigger front chainring ie. 34.?

Then you will need a bigger rear cog.

Is your chain the right way up?

You’ll waste more time going to Shannon than you will in the queue,

The only US Airport I’ve had to have a long wait at is JFK.

Most others are fine especially if you have pre-done your forms.

So if, say, the same shop is cheaper online than in store (and they refuse to price match their own online prices) – rude to try in store and then buy from their website?

    That really winds me up,

I once drove to a shop to buy a bike I’d seen on their website, to be told I had to pay an extra £200 for the shop price if I wanted to take it away!

I went elsewhere even though it was more than than the original shops online price.

The usual it costs £XX for XXXX

No it costs £xx from merlin. Unless he went to merlin to get serviced its a pointless comparison.

The OP chose to pay someone to do it all for him. Its always cheaper to do it yourself and search out for the best buy something you won’t get at one place.

Only an itemised bill can say if this was a rip off or not. (the receipt needs to be compared to other LBS prices not just Best Online Price)

did you try their sizing for 26″ aswell?

I ride a XL Pace 29er and would ride a XL 26er. The 29er is longer but I run a 90mm stem as instead of a 110mm stem.

From what I have seen of canyons a medium sounds about right. A Large would be spot on for me.

What’s illegal is any kind of coercion on the part of the supplier to make retailers stick to a certain price. If retailers each decide that it’s in their interest to make a reasonable profit and so stick to what the supplier suggests as a selling price, there’s nothing at all wrong or illegal about that.

Its price fixing that’s illegal. may sound like a good Idea to allow it but in reality it isn’t.

You could wake up one morning and all the petrol stations have had a meeting that they all want more money and decide £3.50 is fair for a litre of fuel.

The Ashima issue was a problem with the rotor not just which way you fitted it.

I’ve been in the woodbine a few times for flapjack etc. I like it, never had any problems.

I didn’t like purple mountain at dalby. The staff where nice in the cafe but it was overpriced in my eyes so I ended up going to the visitors centre.

I suppose PM didn’t get away with it. VIVA LA REVOLUTION!!

Singlespeed_Shep that is lovely – what colour are you getting it sprayed?

    Cheers,

can’t decide, I’m liking john deere green at the mo. its hard trying to think of what will match the red parts and not look too dark.

A warranty covers something being wrong with the product, not it wearing out.
How does a Ti frame wear out?

Ten years of riding I’m guessing after reading this.

    yes it is the diameter.

15mm is bigger than 9mm so you need a different hole.

The adaptors make the hole in the hub bigger for the bigger axle.

Salsa do a maxle cromoto, what length do you want?

x-lite where going to do 15mm

Stick with road chain sets if your can.

Chainrings are in different places and Q factor is roughly 18-22mm narrower on road cranks.

Just had a phone call saying they are swapping it to a 2012 frame.

Not sure how i feel about this, as im selling it when it returns will this affect the resale value? Guess ill have to sell it as a custm built cube

Serious question can i demand like for like replacement?

They are probally giving you a 2012 because they have no 2011’s left,

Why are you selling it? You’ll struggle to find a brand that makes a frame that hasn’t had one crack etc. Warranty is there for a reason to pick out the error rate.

I think its funny we are all saying riding brake less is dangerous, in such a “safe” sport.

I ride a fair bit of bmx, although nearly all the time racing now. I do head to the trails or skateparks, I see a lot of bmxers on brakeless bikes. Most riders won’t cause any problems, think ahead etc and respectful of others. Then there will be the odd few who are just ****ts.
