ive been on hear for about a month now and wondering who are the regulars?

Another month and you will just know, some regulars stand out, others don’t, Some have multiple accounts, some don’t, some have the magic “P” others don’t.

I think its quiet nice not to have a post count on your profile.

i could work with that design. just dont think it would be easier.

    Your right buy one 😉

This would work to clamp the frame down.

not seen any like that. the issue i see is are the wheels free to spin? i would need to be able to spin wheels for setting up brakes gears ect..

Turn the bike round, lock back wheel in to sort front end, opposite for rear.

    Why wouldn’t they ride tubeless?

Tubulars at mega high pressure, I can’t see the racing fraternity changing away from it.

62 on a mountain bike?? I’d go as far as to say you should throw that Cateye out… It’s obviously completely f*****d. The only way a mountain bike would do 62mph is on the roof of a car.

As a fast descender on road bikes, I can honestly say that low- to mid- sixties are possible, but there are only 2 or 3 descents in the UK that I can think of where you’ll hit those speeds.

I hope one of those is Sutton Bank (A170) 24% in places with long run out. If you put effort into it you’d hit 60mph I reckon, I certainly wouldn’t want to… been near enough on a road bike.

High 40’s down sutton bank (road) near me, but pretty much anyone could get that and probably higher with gears.

Generally off road highest speed would be 23-25mph.

for no reason other than the SA imposing their morality on 40,000 other people.
I think thats a shame, you think its ok. Why is it that I can live with you having an opinion but you struggle to respect mine ?

You can have an opinion but you can’t do what you want on someone else’s land.

if riding from home, i’ll take a jacket with me,

if riding from car, waterproof shorts and jacket, so I can change easily into something that isn’t going to mucky up the inside of the car

I got bored of waiting for nice shiney chainrings, Mainly because they take ages to arrive and then don’t really last.

I run Surly rings and cogs and have hammered them with no problems. Easy and quick to get hold of too.

A lot to be said for simple easy to get hold of parts.

I’m not surprised at the no liquids rule at all, Beer is a bit strange but would go for a drink later, instead I have no Tickets so will watch it from home drinking what I want

What makes the car driver’s time more important than the cyclists’?

Because the car driver was driving to ride his bike.

Considering the profusion of laziness and unnecessary car journeys, I think it is rather a moot point to compare a cyclist’s “unnecessary” use of the road and a car driver’s “essential” journey To ride HIS Bike

The OP was very cautious and considerate but I think it’s you who needs help with some ‘issues’ there sancho.

He was considerate until he followed them into a petrol station for a rant.

I can see sanchos point, most of the people on here would change their tone if it was a bunch of fat overweight IT managers on Orange 5’s blocking the road instead of roadies.

I HATE RODIES. not all off them just the ones that think thay are better than plp on mtb’s

I have a road bike and do honestly think i’m better than most mtbrs. They are fat, slow, socially retarded, don’t know how to correctly ride bikes and evidently drive cars also.

If you and few mates where followed into a petrol station by a motorist for a “critical chat” would you give a sh!t about what they had to say.

Your the one with problems if your still fuming now with a “tar everyone with the same brush attitude”.

    To the OP,

ignore the wheel size and look at them all as different bikes, Some bikes work in 29″ some don’t. Same goes for 650b.

I’d rather have a FS in 26″ to chuck around, a rigid 29er to ride all day then a 650b hardtail for all inbetween. But they would be specific bikes rather than: ANY FS 26er or ANY 29er.

    Singlespeed_Shep

Bernaard – Is that a 29er fork in your evil??

I played around with a mates evil to make it a 69er, worked best witha 26″ rigid (our opinion) and the headangle wasn’t too out of place.

AS above had problems with FSA BB on shimano cranks,

now running a Pace BB with spacers on a surly pacer frame with Ultegra chainset.

    Ah right, Understand now,

Personally get the trek if they are the same price, but thats only down to you having a dealer near by if you have a problem.

Look both the same roughly, why is that a problem?
