My Tdci Focus is a bloody nightmare for that! I have just gotten used to "blipping" the throttle before the off, but it can't be good for the clutch, and I must look like a ****. I'm never getting a diesel again.

In contrast my Focus Tdci is excellent,, seems to have loads of torque and hardly any turbo lag

all that technology and all you had to do was let the tyres down to about 8-10 psi

shimano seem to shift nice
but campag feels better built

there used to be a saying:-

shimano wears out – campag wears in

as for sram not sure

cos if you take it to a main dealer you will need to re-mortgage 😮

on a serious note try turbo technics as someone else has mentioned and get a few quotes to get it fitted my bet is it will be more than half main dealer price

Ours is a t4 camper Holdsworth xl
In the back it has proper 3 point seat belts so ok for child seats

My advice would be get a tdi if you can afford it as we have a 2.4d and its still slow (proper converted campers are bloody heavy)

other than that look for others types of campers as T4's are not as reliable as the VW followers would have you belive.

ps we are selling ours and prob going to get a toyota Hiace and convert it ourselves

Also try not to force them in to the crate at first. Just have the door open all the time and randomly put food treats of toys in it ,they will love getting in it after a while.
