Same happened to mine, sent it with RM with no insurance etc. Great after sales service, repaired and fully serviced(lots of new bits fitted)for considerably less than it would`ve cost for bits here in UK. Thats part of what makes them better than the “hydraulic generation”.

The Bewick Moor route cinnamon girl mentions will be fantastic after all of this dry weather, it has a long grassy, dusty fast descent to Old Bewick on that one. Similarly, the climb from Harehope farm would be made easier by the same.

Alwinton area, there`s natural wilderness up that way, but it a bit cloudy at the moment 😉

From my E13 experiences, they use “expensive sized*” bearings……

    *E13 sized only

Dialled Bikes, either Prince Albert or Alpine
    Prince albert or Alpine
Both “aggressive” both a ton of fun….capable of giving an awesome day of entertainment

Simone side had a TREK Skye and loves it to bits(yes a WSD). Armed with this, she tried 2 “girlie specific” full suss bikes at a demo weekend and didnt feel happy on either of them.
She tried a bike that was suited for her height and loved it, OH! it was “male”. She eventually ended up with a FUEL and is riding the wheels off it, the only alteration has been a ladies saddle 🙂

The last time they went up Mt Ventoux(for example)the roads were closed 6 hours earlier than publicised because of excess spectators….
The implication being where ever you go, get there early…

considering the amount of people I saw with FF helmets @ Llandegla last weekend, some of them on 100mm XC hardtails too!!

they`ll be needing one of these too..

The top of Clennel street by Wholehope gates was a bogfest the last time we rode it(not too long ago, the cattle have destroyed any drainage.
The carriage drive was fast as a fast thing yesterday and if you know the right stuff, it`ll test the Halifax hinge 😉
Simonside has been wrecked affected by the number of walkers trips in the area so only go there if its frozen solid!

All SOMBRIO kit is the mutts nuts apart from the gloves, which never fit my strange sized hands. Some pocket zips tend to fail after being scraped along the ground but what would you generally expect? I have 3 coats in various cuts and they all keep the rain out and the warmth in. Love em!

CCTV from carparks isnt the be all and end all. My wife was assaulted and it was caught on camera. They couldnt recognise the bloke from the footage, despite the fact his face was exposed(he was known, it was just to id the sod)

In a former life, my partner had a Mini(Austin/Rover not BMW). She would sometimes need my SAAB 900 to collect stuff for her business. I would take the passenger seat out of her car and leave it in the living room while I went to the local trailcentre…..

Watched a 100mm fork rip the headtube of a `96 Zaskar….It had no disc mounts. The manufacture year is part of the frame number on GTs is (was) it not, although it wont be of much help to you now 🙂

My other half had a “ladies day” 3 weeks ago with Dirtschool. Boosted her confidence no end, teaching was delivered by Rab Wardell.
Having ridden with her since she has improved vastly both in technique, and confidence “show me the roots” being just one example.
