Yeah yeah, but the bird was behind the chest of drawers, which I had to pull out, hence the dirt on that part of the floor which I do not normally worry about 🙂

I know animals die, it’s more a case I was worried I would hurt it. Nothing wrong with worrying about that. And if it was injured, I wouldn’t it to be there for days while it starved.

Yeah – there was a tv cable in my bedroom unused. I don’t have pliers, so it took a while to cut it down to say 10cm. Then I tried to cut the final bit off cable off at the wall but couldn’t get the purchase needed as it was a bad angle and I was scarred I may cut off the bird’s feet (I’m not too great at diy and the like).

I did find another dead bird in my house which was upsetting, and also a few weeks ago there was a bird in my sitting room and i didn’t hear it. It flew into my dining room and at the time I had a coffee in my hand at my computer. I jumped so much there was coffee everywhere, but in that instance I opened a window and it found it’s own way out while I hid in the hallway.

The litteral sense not as in the Norwegian Wood sense.

I just cant be dealing with this. It still seems to be moving its head when I gently tap it with a broom, but its wings arent flapping. I’ll try the blanket approach. Still seems to be able to cling on to the wooden wall surround for dear life.

Well that seemed to work. It was clinging on to a tv aerial for dear life, so I first had to cut off the cable, and then somehow wrapped it in a blanket. The problem was that i didn’t want to accidently hurt it or break one of its legs or wings.

managed to get it out of the house, and the good news is that it flew off, so maybe it was just really scarred or lost and didn’t know what to do.

No probs – Trekster has promised a ride or two as although I am a kind of sort of local, I’ve not explored the non Stanes areas.

I have not seen it for a few years now as it has been in storage, but if I can find my 35mm film camera I may take that as a back up, just like the olden days.

I will also be buying one or two spare batteries from jessops, so that may be enough to get me through 30 days without access to mains.

For the phone, I know that where I plan to be, you can just about get a signal so I will be sending one text a week to my folks to let them know I am still alive as they do worry about me, but then they worry about me anyway even if I am near a 240v power supply 😀

I dunno. The last 20 years haven’t been much fun most of the time, but I’m going to be 40 next year and finally feel like I am getting there and turning a corner. So who knows ay, maybe if things do go my way, then it’s better to be happier late in life and feel sorted, rather than the other way around? Obviously it would have been nice to have a life where you are happy every decade mind.

Oh, and people are struggling now to always post one photo a day. I guess unlike me, if you do actually have a life then it becomes a challenge. Just 2 days away from 1/3 of the way there!

Been expecting something like this for a good few years now

Well maybe I shouldn’t admit to suffering depression and panic attacks and stuff, but I’ve been really struggling out here and am desperate to get home. I thought I was on a 3 month notice period, as did my boss, but going through my paperwork tonight I seem to have found a contract that says I am on one month’s notice. I do actually need to work in May, but this week I will try and confirm I am just on one month’s notice, meaning I can get back to Scotland for June as I so desperately want to do.

So yeah been struggling but am still one to try and change things around and am lucky I am in a position to do so.

Given that I can do a coast to coast in ooh, around 10 minutes, basically the whole darn country is my local loop.

As Slugwash said, you’ll have to join us, we need a few more mugs to join in

I’ve got my Caldera just the way i want it now with Avid 5s, and Rebas being the main upgrades.

I am running reinforced 2.4″ tyres for Spain, and when I get back to the Uk these will change to 2.1″ probably, but apart from that it is just so sweet now.

I think the frames are great, but yeah, I have not been attracted to their current colouring scheme, and I think they may be slightly underspecced? I bought mine in the 2005 sales so feel I got a good price for it and see no reason to change bikes for a long time yet.

Yazz did a gig in Gibraltar last Friday in the main square but we missed it as it was my birthday and we were down the karaoke subway bar. Can’t compete with Girls Aloud really.

Yeah, once you get the camera angles sorted am sure you’ll be making some top vids. This one was good but could have been so much more fun to watch in some bits. Video quality is very good though.

Plenty of room for big egos on a 365 group, especially if you are planning on taking a portrait of yourself each day as some people seem to do in other groups. 🙂
