Wow – that looks great. I’ve just been looking at the general area on the OS maps. Can’t wait to get out on those trails in September (after July and August in Peru) so those Llamas will make me feel at home 🙂

BTW – what village is Combe Hill near? I can’t find it on my map.

    Cheers

I have done 2 shamanic ceremonies inside of Stonehenge. I have always found the National Trust very accommodating, they do give people access to inside the henge at 6am for an hour, (tickets have to be limited to around 20 people), but the staff are very respectful and friendly, so yeah, I was quite impressed with the access given.

Rudebiy – dont worry – i will quarantine myself up in Scotland where the people are made of sturdier stuff. And actually the time to worry is when I get back from South America late august 🙂

Yeah – kind of sucks as we had some rides lined up including the Ronda – Marbella descent and the third attempt at finding an old monastery in Montes de los Barrios. On Tuesday I have some moles cut off my back so I may not be able to ride next weekend, then my folks are here for my Mum’s birthday, then the following weekend I may be back in the UK both on business and also doing some moving over the weekend. Then the following weekend I am asssuming I have no bike and gear as everything will be on it’s way back home.

But it’s not all bad as I am not working in June so will be able to catch up on my riding while i stay with my folks in Dumfries and a mate in Wales. 😀

I really can’t complain to be honest.

Both Roper and I have had flu so no riding for me. Woke up after a hideous night with aches and all 🙁 This was probably my last chance to go riding in Spain as what with one thing and another I may well not get a chance to ride before leaving.

    e?

Just chill out, and carry on your merry way happy in the knowledge that you are confident in your own riding skills and have nothing to prove to anyone?

And yes if it was Simon’s Wonderwall then you’d certainly not be welcome at any other weddings other than to provide comedy relief.

Well you have to make the most of what talents you have, and I would just like to say if anyone is getting married and is after an accoustic singer/songwriter/guitairst with a comedy twist I am available for bookings in June although i have to say I can only play Wonderwall, Chasing Cars and I Guess God Thinks I Am Abel plus a couple of my own tunes which I wrote around chords i know how to play. Surely Wonderwall is a great wedding tune?

You need the url for the photo. This can normally be found by right clicking on the photo and you will see either the url or a menu called Properties (depending on your browser).

Copy the image url and post inbetween [ img ] and [ /img ] but remove the spaces.

Edit – drr – flu infected brain malfunction

Inept??? In – flippin – ept?

Something tells me you have nothing to worry about!

Should I post my classic 2007 rendition of Wonderwall for comparison?

You’ll go down a storm mate now stop this blatantly needless plea for sympathy and go knock em dead.

Hired a Kona 2 or 3 times at Mabie Forest in 2005 when I was staying at my folks looking for a job. Didn’t buy my Kona until Feb 06.

I can’t really explain why I found my decision easy for my MSc, but for me a lot of it was finding an MSc that I felt was tailor-made for me. I am 39 so you seem pretty young you know 🙂

I am 39 and doing an MSc this September. I have no current plan for afterwards, but feel that the MSc will help me move into a career that is more of a vocation and where the job is constructive.

Not too sure if this helps at all. I took a year out in 2004 but that didn’t quite go according to plan, although I had some amazing adventures. It’s taken me 4 years to save up for this, but I am desperately unhappy where I am right now, and this MSc, when I saw the syllabus, I just thought it was totally me and I really think I am going to enjoy the next year loads.

There are gale force winds tomorrow but with a slight modification to the route, Roper and I are riding on my experimental local loop (i.e. I have ridden 2/3 and have a cunning plan for the as yet untried and tested final 1/3).

This is currently on our corporate home page

“England substitute fielder Gary Pratt, who controversially ran out Australian skipper Ricky Ponting during the 2005 Ashes, landed a £3,400 windfall for a pal who had placed £100 at 33/1 that Pratt would one day play for England.”

Cool – am not working in June so some rides will be mid week. However, I see that the summer solstice is on Sunday 21st, so Caider on Saturday 20th could be a goer. I will probably be bivvying that night in Snowdonia, and then will prob ride penmacho on the Monday.

Mind you, the new moon is Monday, so it could be nice to bivvy Sunday through to Monday morning. Either way, Caider on the Saturday will be just what I want and will fit in nicely 🙂

Ah cheers – I’ll post up nearer the time and see if anyone wants to join me. I will be there around the solstice staying with a friend in Blaenaugh Ffestiniog (one day I will learn how to spell it) and am also planning on doing Penmacho.

Well done. I am going to be in the area late June. Is this a fairly straight forward route in terms of finding the right paths? May give it a go.

I think I had the window open in the daytime, but then the others I think may be nesting in the roof and coming in through the kitchen ceiling where the ceiling collapsed a few months back but has not been repaired.

Having accidently left my new 5 tens in a lock up in Leeds, I am currently wearing my Northface hiking shoes and they are fine!
