Worthy of being called "double black" on the boulder trail, but also has a short xc loop too which is good for a few blasts, and the other side of the road has some great sections too if you can find them and there hasn't been forestry work wrecking them.

I can barely ride it but that is not a criticism, it is superbly designed. It can be stop start in a good way, in that some sections are worth having a look at before committing to. I have been upside down over the handlebars here but landed safely due to the forest being on a very steep slope. 😀

My back-up team is Brazil, what with me living in Brazil right now, and it is a revelation living in a country with both the massive expectations, but also where there is a very hight chance of a place in the finals! The whole country seems to shut down for the Brazil games, it's an amazing atmosphere. They also do daily late night comedy shows just ripping the p out of everyone, and with Brazil not suffering from the stifling political correctness, it's very very funny.

In Brazil it seems like the whole country shuts down and it's like a public holiday. But then, they are Brazil looking for their sixth world cup ay!

Ah cheers – maybe I'll take a look at it one day then before deciding to run down – always the case of a camera flattening slopes ay?

I think that is a great video and from a good perspective. I am sure some of those jumps are bigger than they look, but the footage was nice and smooth. That looks like the sort of trail I would like to have a go at, assuming that the jumps are not too big!

My only comment is that sound would have been good, unless something went wrong with my laptop and there was sound?

All Ferris Beulleur did was mass around with answering machines whereas Tom Cruise takes his Dad's stereo's audio analysis machine thingy that has been set to very accurate settings and just whacks them all up to 11. We once did that with my mates Dad's stero…….. awesome days the early eighties ahh happy memories. 8)

I disagree. Both have a whale of a time while parents are away – the only difference is that in Risky Business a porsche gets trashed and in Ferris Beullur it's a ferrari!

The film is as follows: Tom Cruise wears Ray Bans, rakes the lawn, parents go away, he turns the stereo up and dances around in boxer shorts, has a party, meets a girl, someone trashes his father's porsche, he gets the girl, he gets into trouble re porsche and ends up having to do a lot of leaf raking.

That is from memory – others may fill me in on any details missed!

I don't know how old you are, but if you are aged between say 35 and 45 it's an absolute teen classic! I don't know if this is true, but I think it was Tom Cruise's first film. It's called Risky Business and basically it's about a teenager having a party. That's it!

The 7 Stanes rides I organised last year seemed to go down quite well. At least there are a lot of features where people like me get to have a breather while others get to show off their amazing gnarl-tastic skills. Unfortunately for myself, people found out that when I said the pace would be strictly chilled, it wasn't due to a false sense of modesty but it was a desperately accurate and truthful account of my lack of speed.

I may well organise another one or two in August or September, but I have a gammy leg and have pains walking, and not ridden since March, so need to see if I can get fit again before organising one.
