Second vote for Pindale Farm … if you talk nicely to them when you're booking you'll get exclusive use of a room …. think they've got 4 or five rooms in the bunkhouse. The engine room is quite interesting if you can get that – it's set away from the main building. Parking can be a bit of an issue if the place is full though.

For B&B the Woodbine is in a good spot and also used the Bowling Green pub in Bradwell (good food, good beer and a great view out the back on those warm summer evenings ….)

Worked out about 40% of the cost (no excess, no previous claims, contents only with the 'away from home' bit) of our previous policy and with better cover.
I know a couple of people who have made claims in the recent past and customer service seems to be good too.

Stayed al Le Versoyen campsite before. Close to the funicular and near the supermarket. Set on the edge of some parkland alongside the river. Only a few minutes walk into town. Facilities were good too. The website is quite amusing too link.

Also stayed at Chill Chalet who have just started doing summer accomodation – recommend this too if you wanted a few nights not under canvas. Website here

Cheers,

Recently bought some Hope Tech X2s and very impressed with the power and feel. Admittedly not put any serious miles into them but they've done a few months in the winter filth and are doing fine so far.

A string of bad experiences with minis, mono minis and M4 means this is the first set of Hopes I've bought in several years. So why did I go for them this time …. couldn't beat the price that my LBS offered them for … and I couldn't resist all that CNC work!

All in all, pretty pleased so far.

I have an Orange Patriot 66 that I am about to start trying to sell. I'd rather sell as a complete (or mostly complete) bike.

Spec is as follows:
Patriot 66 frame (16" anti-radar green main frame, black swing arm)
Marzocchi 66 RC2 ETA forks (180mm travel)
Swinger 3 way shock
Hope Pro hubs on Mavic 321 with 2.25 dual ply high rollers (60A rear, super tacky front) and spare 2.5 dual ply Big Earls
Shimano XT shifters, front mech and shadow rear mech
Race Face Evolve 22/32/bashring chainset
Race Face Diabolus bars and stem
Cane Creek Tank Hit headset
Hope seat clamp
Race Face XY0 seat pin
Probably Avid Code brakes (or maybe a set of Saints – haven't decided which yet)
B/B is a bit worn and would need replacing soon.

I've got some pictures on Flickr … here… it's built up a bit differently in the photos but should give you an idea.

If you're interested get in touch – my e-mail is in my profile.

Cheers,

Simon.
