Totally personal choice, We didn’t want kids either, no burning desire, Loved our life Skiing, Scuba, Holidays etc. etc.
But, When I was 37 my Farther in law had a stroke and we almost lost him. That really made us both evaluate what was important in life and four years later I have a four year old and one year old girl.

Its bloody hard work, hardest thing i’ve ever done, and your life does totally change, but I love it…not some mornings but yes its great..to see the world through there eyes is so special.

The thing is, you really can’t tell someone who hasnt got kids what it will be like… Best advice is watch this McIntyre video from 5mins onwards….

Great thanks. So correctly installed at moment. Cheers.

mmmm, maybe my inclinometer isn’t up to scratch, El Guapo, getting 70 degrees with the bushes installed with Marzocchi 44 150, 2.4 Rubber queen tyre and Super star external Headset… was expecting much slacker.

Dan, Also consider a 29er hardtail. Then you could always make a bit of a ride of it on the way home.

Stole an hour in Rivelin valley, Sheffield, every descent like a smooth toboggan run, excellent fun.

Lots more snow today, may ride tonight.

Cheers, why 2x for the 28? Will the spokes overlap heads on 3x?

    24 is 2x, 28 is 3x, still follows the same rules ?

Langsett to Bradfield is going to be interesting. Stupidly steep & narrow roads with 180 hairpins

Interesting that a lot of roads were recently surfaced up there aye ;-)

£37 for a hit or miss tyre

if you try to run them tubeless which they weren’t designed to do, keep up

gravity slave sussed this last year, its actually hit and miss with RQ, i’ve had four, two were a bugger, two were great. Second pair so great I thought they had changed the compound or something, until #5 is a bugger again to get up and keep up. Still, I love them, so will buy again.

2.4″ ordered for new bike, cheers OP.

X-Fusion Slant are the ones your actually after, the only slight difference is that bolt through is 15mm not 20 I think

I got a refund really quickly, however I’m concerned about a deeper scam, and the guy having my address. So if who ever did have his address could them email it to me, just for peace of mind if something does happen in the near future

    Cheers.

AS Above, I run Bionicon V2 guide and an XTR Shadow+ rear mech on my TRC to avoid dropping chain into that nice carbon BB housing… works well and is very quite, especially due to the shadow +

Saw that the other week… you have to sign a charter about how you will use the wood. I guess someone has found a way of selling off bits of useless (in commercial terms) old woodland.

Surprising amount of “factory” wheels are 24/28 hole. I’ve read though they require high spoke tension compared to 32/36

Doesnt look rockier than some of the Bridleways in the Peak, in fact all the rocks are flat and going in the same direction…any travel suits, DH bike overkill.

ta, new spokes make sense if going to the effort of building a new wheel.

    simonm

So, 3mm difference, would the existing spokes be OK, I guess that depends on how far they protrude through the rim ?

Interesting, the 20″ Isla bike is 10lbs lighter !

I’ve bought all Isla bikes for my Daughter Isla, they are great quality, but I have bought them all second hand.
