+2 for disposable nappies.. The hard part is having a baby and all that though… expensive way to dry shoes to be honest.

bad news…can't believe how many are going, this has to be a group specifically after bikes, not opertunists like the police said.

All those stolen in this area MUST ride up Endcliffe park, then back again at end of rides. I still think thiefs are following people home after rides, watch your back as you return home.

Are they hope wheels ? With 36's, a few of us have found, that there can be a wobble when using hope pro2's on 36s. Does the wheel move latterally ? flip bike upside down and see if there is a wobble. Does on mine sometimes, have to kinda pre-load it tighten the axle up.

Cheers, the really worrying thing here was kicking the door in while he was asleep upstairs…..sounds like there was a car waiting outside.. amazes me that they could get a fully built bike into a car so quickly aswell.

good loop choice, Jacobs one day – Ladybower classic another. Stay in Edale you can start both from there… but then you'd miss out on cavedale and pindale….mmm, I'd stay for three days and you'd cover the highlights.

I think you've just entered the "consultation" period… which is a term for the amount of time a company has to wait before they can execute the cost cutting measure.

Thanks for the pics Kev :-) Actually very usefull to me as I;ve also got a 15″ and wondering how it will look built. The 115 looks perfect, strangley looks slacker than the written angles suggest.

    Cheers.

ahhh, forget it.. used Google and finaly found it, spent days looking..must have had a brain wave in the last 3 mins !

“1st), have spacer and fox fluid ‘pillow pack’ ready, some 7 or 7.5 fork oil and new crush washer if you’re anal like that. (fox fluid seals air, and you *can* reuse the fluid you collect in step 2 if you forget to get it as mentioned in step 1 ;^)

2nd) release air from chamber, and remove the air cap (28 or 32mm socket depending if you have a 32 or 36 fork), drain blue thick fluid.

3rd) remove nut and crush washer from bottom of same fork leg, and with fork lying flat, tap bolt thru with plastic mallet, drain small amount of oil, which also can be reused in a pinch. (fork oil should be readily available at most LBS and any M/C shop. 7.5 wt. for this fork leg is good, as this small amount of oil is just for lubing bushing, and doesn’t change damping.)

4th) push air rod you just tapped from the bottom the rest of the way out, and clip spacer on shaft just above the negative coil spring.

5th) reinstall air-rod and add 7wt. fork oil in bolt-hole with fork on its side. (i forget the exact amount, but it’s about two capfuls) feed bolt back thru hole and reinstall lower nut and crush washer and tighten. no idea of torque value, just don’t kill it. also, this step can be fiddly sometimes getting the rod back thru the hole on lower leg, just be patient and have long screwdriver or allen wrench to guide rod back thru.

6th) add fox fluid on top of air piston rod, reinstall air cap and pump up fork to desired pressure and you’re ready to put the fork back on and ride…..”

5’6″ and I ride the 16″ Alpine with a 60mm Stem, longer than my usual bikes but fits ok for me…just..31lbs with Talas 36’s.

Another good inflation device I’ve used is a HIGH volume pump that came with my wifes birthing pool !!! It really works well with some tyres !!

“Decide how much inner tubes really honestly piss you off, then decide if you want to swap that faff with another, costlier, messier, and ultimately not really all that much better system.”

well said ! Actually though, for the first time in months I went out for ride in the Peak with a tube in the rear and second descent was trashed by a flat halfway down.. annoyed..yes ! So I’ve gone back to tubeless.

that rocky bit is originally termed, section 4… it was never finished. Needed about 200 barrows of hardcore and 50meters of board walk between the rocky bits. That said, when it was dry and first opened..you could clean it, Its got a lot worse since we opened it unfinished… bad move really.

Its fun to Spectate, I’ll be taking my daughter this year so no riding for me. This year should be better for spectating as there building dual coarse up in the field where you Park… should be good racing, there are one or two good riders in that area ;-)

here is what not to do… spend ages trying to get an advantage to pop into position…use 1 CO2 get it to pop..then put gunk in fail to pump so use another C02.. get it all sealed.. then realise you have the tyre on the wrong way round then use two more CO2’s repeating the process…..

The Felt is nice, is something like that comfy on lightly bumpy tracks ?
Also, should you go for something with big wheels like that ? will she be able to cover larger distances more easly ? I guess I’m looking at either a 26″ wheeled bike or larger wheels… and if you go larger then its no suspension forks ?

thanks for the info. There appear to be a lot of shops advertising the scheme, so they must be happy with the 10%. I want to buy from 18bikes (support local businesses as mine is also in Derbyshire) and they use that scheme.
