Intresting, So this is for me, Where else do you put your money Tax free if you've used your ISA Allowance (and a higher rate tax payer)?
Normal savings at 1% then get taxed on that ?

Also try QUO V2 can purchase small tiles online rather than whole maps, pretty nice interface and a MASSIVE import / export options.

The other end is the little Tarmac road just before the Viaduct on the right, turn right up there then immediatley right. Basically follow the Tarmac up the hill past a couple of houses then onto the Bridleway, its a nice bit of Singletrack.
If you dont turn right then you join the bridleway around Lady bower. Make sense ?

Someone stated Premium bonds were rubbish… only if the following doesnt apply to you Rob "They’re only worth considering as a serious place to put savings, if you’re a higher rate taxpayer, who has used up your Cash ISA allocation"

What we did was split money around (Always a good bet)
CTF for some of it, with a monthly DD, We chose the Ethical Stake holder prodct with Family Investments
then some in a bank account in her name (that we can access just in case !) then some under the mattress.

    EDIT: Congrats btw ;-)

    Hi podge / Antigee.

It was this race that really pisked me off with the FE… for years they limited our use of the woods…we played ball and got nowt in return.. Then the mighty Saab come along, drop the FE some money and hey presto they had absolutley free reign of the woods. They did ask me to comment on the route map… I did… and it was pretty much ignored. amazing what a bit of money can do.
It was this whole race that finally (final straw) FCUKED me off into not digging with the FE at Wharncliffe.

not been up there since then though I've seen a couple of pics that looked like part of the XC trail was used..

Ive got an ST4, just getting used to it at the moment. I've previosly owned a Meta 55, to me they are very simular but the ST4 does give me a bit more confidence downhill than the Five did. I do have the chainsuck issue though, I was thinking off putting THIS on as it has a plate on the inside to keep the chain on, nice little unit.

Small block 8 2.1 is nice for trail centres…in fact I've been riding it in the Peak recently (as recently as last night) and find them great in the dry.

Just to make it clear, although Henry works for Sustrans he has a background in Trail building in the South and CERTAINLY will be a good rep for MTBers intrests in Bridleway developments.

Spooky co-incidence but just got a mail from a guy we ride with and he has got a place on the access on the cities access forum. If there are any issues to be raised send them to henry.norman@sustrans.org.uk

He's a great guy and will be a really good representative.

    Cheers.

I wish I had more time to get into this at the moment, It would be nice to have a single MTB'rs group voice to speak to the council with. I guess exactly the original purpose of Singletraction… see how the next few months pan out. Got a good contact in the council now.

    Intresting link that Mr Agreeable…

It would be very worth while trying to get our viewpoint over. I don't see why a Bridleway surfacing project can't be made intresting. OK, Its not going to be rocky afterwards, but why so straight ? perhaps waterbars could be added that double up as nice drop offs that a horse can still walkover, Why do they have to be so straight, is it possible in the space of a bridleway to form two pathways… one all surfaced, the other left rough.

Those are the kind of points I'd like to raise with whoever fixes the Bridleways. I think there was a consulation like that on a bridleway near Hayfield and a "fun" part of it was left in place for MTBers.

Reading more. This group have been very successfull. Most of the bridleways in Rivelin valley area, and now quite a lot in places like Porter brook are getting surfaced. Thats a lot of funding….I wonder where there getting that from ?
