I've ordered a lot of stuff from them, mostly on price, but never had an issue. Even got some nice freebies due to being a return customer. Never had any experience returning things though, always been ok first time.

I found the standard I-Beam seats really painfull, the centre support gives a lot of stiffness to the centre of the saddle and not much flex… In the end I changed to a SDG Formula FX saddle that is supported on the outside edges, much more flex and more comfortable… just worth having a look at one b4 you buy.

Hes done my neighbors 2 boilers (one house, one fish pond) so a good contact.

So, if you change the boiler, you have to bring the whole system up to current regs ?… so even if a boiler failed, and had to be replaced, the same have to happen ?

Yes, pretty sure its a Combi, e.g. it does heating and water on demand, no tank etc.

eeek, minefield as usual.. The boiler its replacing was new in the year the house was built, 2000… any idea if that means I'll have up to date regs for pipe size etc ? Also, is 32kw overkill ? 4 bed house, shower off the Combi, current one is pants, takes 1/2hour to dribble a half bath full.

EDIT: Should I just ask Peaty all this next week at the talk @ sheffield uni ?

Think his main fault is for generalising a group… just because a collection of people ride / walk / horse ride / scuba dive etc. doesn't make all of them behave in the same way.

lol, I forgot about that Podge, not a great way to calm things down / get the Blacka people to understand MTBers needs.
The Concesionary bridleway by the wall is closed at the moment BTW.

you not read it all yet ?

Walking of course is not a hobby or a lifestyle choice. It is a condition of humanity. And cyclists share that condition too – they don't have to take their bikes

Its this kind of guy, with narrow views of others needs, that leads to the segregated groups that lay claim to the Peak… me personally, I think there is room for everyone doing there thing in the Peak, walkers, horse riders, mtbers, 4×4, paragliders etc..

    why create a divide ?

    I like this bit,

The cyclists nearing the Seven Trees just visible in the above picture illustrate the image a salesman of mountain bikes would like to project. Idyllic scene on long summer evening, healthy outdoor exercise. In a better picture it could sell a few bikes. To me it's another part of modern life I can't quite understand. If I wanted to go out into the countryside and enjoy wilder places, why would I bother to take a bike with me? It restricts your freedom rather than adding to it.

    but he is right here,

More troubling than this is the increase in drinks containers cast aside considerately by cyclists.

    with the adjacent image

    but here he is right,

Unlike the cyclists who try to make maximum speed with heads down all the time

Ardents and odd tyre… I don't quite get it. Someone said it replaces the High roller… but appears no where near as chunky.

mmm, I'm find the SB8's suprisingly draggy on the road… maybe its just pressures to play with.

Standing on them with a 5ten last night, the pins only sink in 1 or 2mm, I suppose the other 17mm platform pedals out there are a little thicker as the pins on them stick out 4/5mm.

    simonm
    Free Member

no, tomorrow night I hope. They feel good. Strange thing is though, once the pins are in the pedal is quote thick. The pins are 18mm long.. making the pedal about the same thickness as other low profile pedals out there….This negates the claim that you get your foot lower down due to the profile.

I've just got some of these… prepare to get blisters fitting the 40 pins yourself…

Exercise good hand hygiene to avoid the squits…. Best place to visit/dive was Dahab… SHarm = Russion invasion/dump.. but good access to diving.

Matt, It comes with a replacement QR skewer, has a universal coupling, a bit like a hip bone joint attached to the end of the skewer.
