4-6 weeks waiting for a replacement frame sounds in the lurchish to me!

Not really. A new frame assured, and it takes about that time to get a new frame if you purchase a brand new bike so I don’t see how they could do better given UK stocking etc.

I had a uninsured Nomad go under a uplift trailer and SC gave a replacement frame at crash replacement price. Pretty damn good.

On the contrary a mate with a snapped aluminium Lapierre rear had to battle with the local dealer for five weeks first before finally getting agreement from Lapierre to replace that took another 4 weeks.

Had an Original aluminium Blur XC many years ago with bearing issues, SC sorted that no problem no questions asked.
SC have always been excellent to me when Warranty called upon.

Mad Steve, a shame but I’d stick with it. TRc is an amazing bike, SC never leave there customers in the lurch.

bah, I feel left out. A couple of thousand miles in the Peak district for last 24 months and my frame is all fine. Do I need to ride faster or stop floating over stuff ;-)

Congratulations Dan…. in the words of a good friend of mine when he found out my wife was pregnant “Now your F”£()$*()”£”

Don’t move and have a baby at same time. Its a big enough shock as it is. Get used to being a family for a year then move. Trust me, had some friends who did it all at once and it was a nightmare.

Worst case do it 6 months after, its not like Baby will need her/his own room until 4,5,6, months old anyway.

“Why spend 5 hours in the car. Just go for a 5 hour longer ride from home! “ Pay attention at the back !

Johnellison, I was just wondering what local conditions are like after this week.

Hehe Phil, pretty good estimates ;-)

I’m liking the look of Hebden.

Sorry, yes. Not the Peaks as its local, this is my “special board approval” riding day so usually ride somewhere different. Cut Gate is 14mins from home ;-)

Hebden, thats a good idea… Are all the good routes known to locals though ?
    Maccs another good idea.

mmmmm, yeh. They do look expensive compared to some of those others.

mmmm, maybe true but I loved the Equilibrium, so Ti version will be same Geometry I like but lighter and comfier.

Plus, sourcing it from 18bikes means I can always easily get support / warranty help etc if there are issues, thats a cost and hassle people don’t always consider.

I’ve vowed to not order ever again from On-one ;-) not after sending two bikes back virtually un-ridden.

Nope, I’ve trashed my Equilibrium frame :-(
So thinking of not getting the Ariel, putting 34s on the black bike, and getting a nice road frame.

I do ride the road bike, I do ride the black bike. Not sure how much i’d ride the Ariel… I mean I got rid of the other big bike…I’ve even got a spare set of Flows with 2.4’s on for uplift days etc.

spanner in the works today really…

I’m selling a Chariot Cabriolet, double (Just in case !! – we filled it) email me if you would like pics. Its in great condition, light, easy to collapse etc.
I also have varios baby / toddler additions for it. A Baby cradle which I think was up to 1 year old, then a toddler cussion to support them from 6months to 2 years. Very handy add ons to the basic trailer if your thinking of riding with them when they are young.

    Cheers.

Thats sad to hear. I had the complete opposite experience in Northumberland, while on Holiday. On a “Quick” road ride I got a puncture, went to repair it and both my (Naff) levers broke. Next cyclist passing immediately stopped to help not even knowing that my levers had broken. If he hadn’t I would have had a long journey home.

Thanks to you mystery Geordie helpful bloke.
