after 18 months of pretty hard use.
Did you lend your wheels to someone else Paul 😉

Second what Baldy says, although for a little peace of mind, and after seeing them at 18bikes, I would really like a set of Arch EX’s

12stone. Run Crests in the Peak – all good. But I would fancy (for peace of mind) something wider for Rocky days – so considering buying a pair of Arches EX

actually..It worked ! before Saturday (and my High5 fuelled ride) max distance I’d ever ridden was about 25miles.. Did 41 on Saturday with 6500′ climbing in the Peak.

Not entirely down to the High5.. a winter on the Turbo and a lot of determination but I must say it helped, I felt good at the end rather than ded and it was only the 7th hill where I started feeling a bit dead.

ahhh, 40mile ride today and figured that TF got it spot on when I followed the instructions, no bob..plush DH.

Reason I ask, I’ve had mine done. First ride out last night and I’m trying to work out if it worked as I wanted.
I was trying to Push the shock so that I could remove bobbing when pro-pedal was on, and yet maintain a nice feel downhill.
I didnt remove the bobbing, but downhill was great, but that was the same before the Push.

Then when I got home I re-read the TF Tuned advice on setup, and they recommended platform set to zero and 135 pressure. I can’t be 100% sure that I had that set so will double check at weekend.

Anyway, was just wondering if anyone else had tried a Push and what they found…at the moment I’m thinking that its not as profound difference on a modern RP23 compared to one I did about five years ago where it was chalk and cheese.

Whats the consensus on Pushed RP23 ? The VIPR appears to be in short supply at the moment.

I know what OP means about some trails feeling great – others not so, I’m about 2/3rds of the way through tuning my CCDB on Nomad C. I’ve got small bump sorted, night ride in wharncliffe on smoothish singltrack, mud, rooty, twisty stuff is fantastic but, in the Peak on high speed loose rocky descents it just feels too harsh and firm. So I have some tweaking of high speed rebound and compression to do.

also remember to keep them topped up every 3 months or so. Night ride last week my RQs went down, thought I’d punctured or burped but just needed a bit of new Stans and they re-inflated and stayed up.. I think they had been set for about 3 or 4 months.

Bugger, Nuke Proof dont do a 2.5″ x 400lb spring.. the only one they have says it fits a Rockshock vivid which I’m not sure suits CCDB

Really? I love my rubber queens, are you running them tubeless or with tubes?

Running Normal Folding Rubber Queens Tubeless…took a lot of sealant though as it escapes through the side walls !

    Great tyres.

Agreed. there are so many comments that “Chavs” drag down society and behave on a non socail way.
However in my dealings with group execs, MD’s etc, i’ve seen there actions are calous, selfish and agressive.. some example for society…

I’m really lucky in that I can do 40mins to 4 hour rides straight from the door, edge of Peak or Wharncliffe even. Road riding sends me to sleep.

Really good to hear from others that are in the same boat.. another great Therapy thread !

Oakleys are expensive..but for a reason.. they work, and work well. They sit well on your face, stop the most amount of watery eye itus.
I’ve had a few pairs of riding glasses now, Oakley 5’s, Rudy rideons and finaly Oakley Jawbones which are by far the best.

I never got on with inserts, they tended to fog up and get in the way of my vision.
