oh, how crap. I did phone the customer service depot number for patchway bristol and said i can cycle there in 20 mins and pick it up. They said "oh, you cant do that". What does it take for them to locate my parcel which is cataloged on a system and I pick it up, but that means helping a customer

A 2nd hand laptop, amd athlon 64 and 2gb ram will do fine on win xp or more than enough for ubuntu.

Around £150 for laptopp, plus free office software (openoffice) and avast for antivirus. More than enough

Running similar spec pc, bit old but use it for video conversion and decoding and games

There are loads of statistics out there and the daily mail don't help. According to statistics that nearly 4 million people are unemployed, but could be wrong. I am on benefits and try my dam hardest to find work every day and it is a case of supply and demand – the supply is low in every sector and the demand is very high. There is about 200+ people applying for every job going. But it is the agencies and employers that still wont fill vacancies that maybe there and if you go to the jobcentre and look on the jobpoints 90% of the jobs are middle/high ended – demanding qualifications (degrees/a-levels) and loads of experience. I cant even get a IT Support job – got 10 years experience/had my own business for 5 years and got 2 years qualifications in IT (A-level) equivalent.

So where does the answer lye and the recession is far from over, loads of companies making people redundant.

    Rant over

measured both inside diameter of steerer which is 23mm and outside is 25.4. So i have to just accept that the stem is a 1" (25.4) and thats why it wont fit. So i stick to original stem

the girvin flexstem is a quill stem and is a 1" and the forks are gt, but measured the diameter of the fork and is 23mm. So its under-sized?

Looked on sheldon browns and the internet, including retrobike.

Kona really have changed a lot, are full suss bikes still 4 bar. cos they look like a trek rear end. But they are doing 1 steel bike for next year. Finally realise that steel is what they should stick to

a giant reign with a coil shock and lyriks is going to be heavy. maybe a trance with a float/rp23 be a lot better with a 120mm reba or revs.

comfort and weight. all day riding. only got one bike

was thinking like a giant reign 2006/07 with pikes or lyriks. 2nd hand. that all day?

a 6" fs would be around 35lb (giant reign looking at – 2nd hand). maybe a 456 with u turn revs. not sure. my current mongoose is ok, rear shock is leaking oil and its only faux bar.

want to get more skills off-roading and go further (all day riding). was thinking of a 6" fs. but that be too much for all day riding
