So, do a variation of both weights and resistance. 3 times a week resistance and once a week on weights. Then a few short blasts every day and one longer ride on a day off from work.

I mean, which is better overall for variation/strength building out of resistance training or free weights. And doing a small 30 min fast cycle going to build up cardio strength and generally improve my fitness overall

I bought one 2nd hand and seems ok. not to bad on weight, built 1×9 with 130mm fork. top tube runs low, i got a 16 and feels like a oversize bmx but its fun

+1. changing the tyres and the stem/bar height (change spacers around and drop stem height). adjust saddle. maybe shorter stem and different bars (depending on reach) pic looks like your sat more upright

I got one like this off ebay, £16

it does the job better than i thought it would, previously had remington (broke just after 6 months) and had philips but the blades needed replacing. i use it a few times a week and had it for 3 months

I know that and parts have come more expensive. but when a company is making thousands of bikes the parts become cheaper and still turn a profit

What sort of amp should I be possibly looking for in a s/h budget option for a more controlled and a bit more power. The kef’s are bright anyway and the rotel amps are bright and bass is there, just a little more would be good.

I must admit I kindof forgot abot cd and listening to mp3 playback for a few year. It came a bit of surpirse when I started cd again, evem through a portable connected, I thought oh, what I missed out on – sound wise, depth clarity bass detail. So I think I stick with what I got as quarter of volume is loud enough. Sand in stands?

    Thanks for advice/feedback

I am reasonably happy with the setup, if only a little more… If can be, but some people say it its the source that matters most. The kef’s are rated upto 150wpc, but any need. Prior a few years back i had a nad 3020 and heybrook hb1 and that was only doing 10wpc at quarter volume. So, is it a can of worms with the talk/marketing of RMS and WPC

The setup is on target unfilled stands on concrete floor,a different amp – pre amp/amp?

Thats the only bad thing about the px100’s, the cable goes after a year. But i have had a few pairs of the 100’s and got all replaced under the 2 year warranty through richer sounds. last pair i bought where from john lewis, as richer sounds dont stock the px100’s. still had my money back after 18 months. which is good. i also have sennheiser cx300ii’s but much prefer the px100’s as more comfortable and bit more bass. avoid beats and anything like that (BOSE included) sound awful over bassy on the beats and no bass on bose. my px100’s are better…

Sennheiser px100-ii for about £30 at john lewis. Had a few pairs over the years, but these I find are great. Portable, foldup, lightweight, decent soundstage, good bass

The early z1 bombers were good, 1996 dual disc mount. Easy to service oil bath and coil. maybe look at mx comps or mx pros – 2001 to 2006 based on the z series, but more upto date. air or coil, 80mm, 100mm, 120mm. v brake and standard disc tab

I had one a few years ago for retro project, makes a good full suss but they sit in the rear travel quite a bit. The rear shock shaft seems a bit gruby so might a service, a air shock be better. I-2-I length of shock is 165mm and the betd link be good to get. Retrobike.co.uk is good for advice, as well somebody might have a betd link if put a wanted ad up in both sections

I was looking for while between the three and went for a great 42 panasonic plasma, only 720p and 1080i. But can’t tell the difference, use it for ps3 gaming and blue ray both look great.

Probably a stupid question. I have ordered one of the solar storms and was looking to double battery life. Would a xy connector work to use another battery pack at same time and what to do about waterproofing the battery pack.

Batteries from torchy or candbseen, can’t afford mtbbattery.

    Thanks

I’m also looking at a Panasonic plasma 42″. Don’t know whether to get from John lewis or richer sounds both same price and 5 year warranty.

I got a nexus 7 that I’m writing this on, had it for around 6 months and use it for everything. Watching movies, TV catchup, internet, gaming and some spreadsheet/word processing. I’m waiting for the nexus 10 v2 to come out, which should be next couple months for better all round. But I’m impressed by the nexus 7 and what it can do. Loads of apps and 1st support of android o/s updates. So win win

We have been using reusables for the last 18 months and worked out very well, as the initial cost is pretty high but works out a lot cheaper in the long run. We used http://www.fill-your-pants.com and got tot bots v3 and bamboo ones. Also got waterproof nappy covers from boots

I am also looking at getting a tv and looking at a Panasonic 42″ plasma, seems good vfm for 330. But its only hd ready at 720p. Don’t think I notice the difference between 720 and 1080
