What I was getting at is with the 3 mm spacer fitted what will the gap between flange and fork be? Will be a very close gap in which case a small amount of flex may case issues.
Not a major concern but worth checking.

Yes the rough cut is significantly better than the standard x fusion damper setup, price wise you’d. E getting close to pile money ( ish) with a rough cut.
Damping wise it’ll depend on which Reba you’re comparing it to as a few variations

Space it, is it going to rub with flex in use though?
Fox forks & Chris king hubs used have compatabilty issues, took a file to my forks ( early 36s from memory)

Warm the old decals with a hairdryer or heat gun ( carefully ) this mean they peal easier and leave less glue on the fork/shock.
Then wiper spray/cover with electrical contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol for a 30 seconds & wiper off repeating to remove any residual glue/contaminants so the new stickers stick well & as above triple check they’re square & right way round ;-)

I didn’t ( & a couple of the team riders) find the traces to be that great weight wise, stiffness v. Reba better, but trace damping a bit agricultural.
Being 85/90 kg went for reduced travel solo air rev rct3s as damping better & a bit stiffer.

Yep that’s a good record vice used them in the workshop & still have a few at home, get soft jaws for it too though or get them surface ground.
They were about £40 when I bought them ( 4″ jaws) & took a fair amount of abuse on the ‘heavy duty/dirty bench’

I’ve got an Santa Cruz highball in classified ATM ;-)
Which is fab, only selling as changing to an fs due to a bad back.

Good point re. power/energy, although over long races (i used mine for 12 hour off roads, it allowed me to finish (some) races due to reduction in fatigue as opposed to being a broken heap & not finishing.
A suspension post would definitely sap a bit of power but unless you’re going for a top ten , in which case you’re double hard anyway!, there’s not a huge amount of difference.
Looking at how a parallelogram post and a telescopic seatpost works could also prove different energy v power results as well as the comparable weights. ;-)

Sorry that should have been ‘I’ve not done the pr’ & that the USE maybe lighter if that’s an issue, if I did do the pr in the future I’d certainly consider a shock post.

All of them, although do check sections first on a few of the harder ones as mentioned above a few steep and rooty bits

Good to see I’m not he only one taking their time (8 years now ?)

V&M engine sounds ideal for an early completely standard looking ‘sleeper’ ;-)
kaiser’s guzzi has so much potential for something very cool although I’m always a bit hesitant to start cutting any on older bikes.
The SRX the engine is out of will be pretty much fully standard aside of a few full reversible mods.
Speaking of which if anyone knows of or has a srx frame I’d quite like another ;-)
OH! & TJ is back too #waves#

Best bet would be JTech TBH, although with small amount build runs & the time designing & testing to sell not many it’s not that financially beneficial to do & no one is making a fortune to start with..

Fine wet & dry, and nail varnish then smooth.
The shock will need to be serviced if you have the body tube replaced

Winter surf holiday for a beginner, not UK as too cold, other suggestions such Morocco will be far nicer, just be honest with the surf school of your abilities.
South west is also a bit of a lottery this time of year too blown out or big, Polzeath last Saturday was the biggest I’ve ever seen it & surfable
couldn’t even get out the back 8O

It’ll make it ride badly, mess your gearing up and increase pedal strikes too.

The Gnarpoon looks interesting in 150, best to chat face to face with Sick at Bespoked though as to what is possible sizing & adjustment wise.

Just checked Bespoked website & they’re on the list, so trip upcountry on the cards for end of April then.

I was wondering about the FS as the price did seem rather low for something that would have potentially been handmade.

Hahaha, who have they annoyed then?
In Cornwall so a bit far, not sure if they’re planning to go to Bespoke in Bristol though.

Probably oil flowing through the rebound circuit, although if they’re behaving strangely it’s probably worth returning them for a warranty inspection.
You will hear most forks working as you ride over rougher ground.
