Cofe – your rings are in now, sorry -missed calling you on Friday.

OP – email us at the shop and we can check for you. info@18bikes.co.uk

They’re not the type of product many shops will keep stock of – especially with all the options/choices, so will tend to order in.

OP – can you email me (address in profile) as I’d like to chat more.

Anyone else witnessed this, again – please get in touch.

    Cheers!

pull up if you can, you’ll be able to exert more. 2nd person to hold the bike, probably upside down.

shock with big snapper/hammer if that fails.

Try some -I ended up with AT-M50 after trying them, they have a demo/tryout thing on their site.

Find a shop who can do similar for others?

I’ve just finished doing loads of DIY in our new house over the last year. SDS drill was an eye opener.

For me, it’s like bike bits, always wanting something else. Really, you NEED ;-)

    SDS corded

    Then, sharing batteries;

    Drill driver
    Combi drill
    Impact driver

    Now, how about saws?….

I’ve got a Topeak that supports the bottom bracket/downtube – looking to sell it as I’ve got a bikethat doesn’t fit it, so I’ve bought a wall mount version

simonbowns@me.com if you’d like photos/chat details. It’s not current but is similar to this one[/url], but with a beefier base.

have you tried an OT post on the classifieds on here – I’ve sold various non-bike bits.

it’s a new, slightly quieter design. all the Hope hubs are now using these, it’s the same for any spares/parts.

I’ve got a link saved at the shop, explains these modes much better.

For most people, the various 1080 modes are best, but this fella’s put together some really nice info on how to use the camera and what the different modes look like.

email me at the shop info@18bikes.co.uk and I’ll fire back with the link (and post it here for others!)

Hope Hoops are hard to overlook, but it sounds like you’re looking for posher/more unusual?

What wheelset have you got on at the moment?

I’d go for something like Stans/King/DT hubs as a conventional 3 cross, 32h build, likely on Stans rims. Any of those options would last waaay better than the Eastons. It’s annoying, as we stock Easton bars/stems etc, but not the wheels – can’t understand why they have such a bobbins hub.

info@18bikes.co.uk if you fancy more of a chat through some options?

try a few, see what suits you best.

imho, sell them both, buy a TRc and love it. I would say that though.

Just bought one, having fallen in love with our demo bike (which we’ve just sold – that prompted my purchase!)

Only got a frame so far, can’t wait to build it up. 130mm fork imho.

I’d second Storrs – had a mate staying there and popped over (I’m in Sheffield) for a few beers and hot tub, just lovely.

piddle, sounds like I was a little late to the party.

I’ve got a Makita LS1013 that I’ve used for a recent house refurb, but can’t justify keeping. Anyone else interested? ;-)

Lenny Hill is a big disappointment, no doubt – especially considering the SSSI status. Sheffield Wildlife Trust were as surprised as the rest of us with regards the width and over the top work that that Sheffield Council did there. Ride Sheffield certainly weren’t aware.

Piper – I think that’s to the level that we can realistically expect, when there’s contrasting opinions from different trail users. Not ideal, but a long way from what they’ve done at Lenny Hill.

We (Ride Sheffield) are now a good bit more involved in the consultation regards works like these.

Take it easy on the concessionary BW, it’s the first winter it’s continued with that status, with this rain!

Astra Van with beggared injector pump, got £400 more than I’d expected and the guy drove from South Wales to Sheffield for collection. We were both chuffed.

had this a couple of months back – ours is a CTD something or other. The heating element had burnt out, causing a short. Replaced that (ebay, I think) and all has been great since. Few screws on the back to get to it, dead easy – take the chance to clear out a load of fluff at the same time!

Grahams were good for us – slightly unusual Stelrad, but they’ve certainly got standard jobs too. They delivered to us. I’d echo what was said above RE B&Q and the likes – rads get stacked up with everything else, bashed about and damaged. I’d imagine much the same from a small mail order outfit. Plumbers merchant all the way.

We’ve just done ours – combination of DIY and plumber/joiner for the bits I needed them. Standard B&Q units (they get hidden by doors anyhow!) with some nicer doors/draw fronts. Tradepoint card makes a big difference. No delivery troubles. I think they’ve recently changed to pre-built units, so I’ve no experience of that.

We needed a deeper worktop, Getalit in Germany were the only ones who could make deep and wide enough. Not silly expensive either – I’d go with them again. Joiner fitted that, no way I was even trying!
