All done, chuffed to have squeezed in 200km in the last 2 days, despite working both days (half day today) – on Sunday I was convinced I’d not manage it.

Minipips wins the Festive500 imho. 100% effort, 0% cocky

    Well done all!

I’m at 300km as of yesterday – had hoped to get up early to fit in a couple of hours this morning, but a gig last night well and truly put paid to that! Working right through has made this whole challenge more than a little difficult.

May still try for 100km days Mon and Tues – we’ll see.

horrible stuff, no idea why they bother fitting it to Stans, just for us to remove it! Ends up taking up space and making tyres tight for use with tubes too. lose/lose

had hoped to hit 50odd km this morning for the commute in, gave in when I hit the wind up high, turned back home to manage half that. Bike’s in the van ready to get some miles in on the way home though….

yep, twice on my road – fine once I hit gritted/A roads. sore thigh and ripped bar tape – thankfully nothing more!

Yep, 52km commute this morning. Working much of the week/weekend, so it’s longer commutes rather than big day rides for me.

    Gold, order it now.

Purple – we don’t know timing yet, but can take preorders now to get backordered ready for first delivery.

Here’s a bit of blurb and a list of the purple bits that are/will be available - click!

I concur – we’ve been really impressed with the service from Upgrade, especially with regards X Fusion. Certain larger distributors could learn a lot from them.

Have a chat with them – I’m fairly certain that they’ll deal direct with customers and help sort you out.

Simply put, I don’t know – not sure exactly how the DLA system works.

    simonbowns
    Free Member

The DLA is on the air spring side, no tht damper – so no difference. We’ve got several customers using them as a shorter fork that has a long option, rather than vice-versa (hope that makes sense?)

My comprehensive “squidge it on the floor” test shows no noticeable difference between DLA and non-DLA.

Yep – mine just arrived today. Not ridden with them yet, but I’m very impressed with the quality and details.

I’m usually 45/46 – I’ve erred on the bigger size here, room for cosy socks too.

We’ve not got stock, but are considering it – let me know if you’re interested – that might help us on stock in/pricing, so might help you with price too ;-)

Sure can, fitting 10mm spacers and/or using the pins in the ladder inside the air assembly. For 150mm, just a 10mm spacer.

We’ve done several (for £20, cost of a lowers service basically)

    Hi,

£8 for the inner plate, plus a bit for postage. Email us to chat – Matt’s also got a spare (carbon) XTR cage that he’s offering up – he replaced it with a super short Zee cage.

They’re a great bike (love our demo) for the right person, but it’s just not sold enough for them to justify keeping it in the range.

There’s still a few bikes/frames left with Genesis, we can work out a sweeeet deal on those I’m sure.

Big credit for volunteer bits – I’ve enjoyed whenever I’ve been, despite being useless at trail centre stuff.

Yup – Sweep due around the end of the month, Upgrade are being ace and air freighting a load of forks over to us.

Ordering online with us – we don’t charge until dispatch, so a good way to get yourself in the queue without paying up front.

Dead easy to space X-Fusion forks internally, like RS used to be. Afaik, it’s a fair wait on air spring assemblies for Rev and Pike, but will be an option to swap.

I’m a bit late to reply to this, but here’s a couple of my thoughts

    – I had a great first go, I can now see why it becomes an annual event for people!
    – the number of people chucking bar/gel wrappers pissed me off
    – I need some more road bunch practice
    – the shouldered bike bits aren’t as bad as I feared

(Hopefully) see you there next year!

Demo some- decent shops’ll have a few sets, Audio Technica run their own demo via post- that convinced me to go for ath m50, but different people prefer different headphones-closed/open etc.

    Blower – either way then!

Slant for a bit lighter, versatility of air spring, cheaper.

Vengeance would need spacing down from 170mm, bit heavier, but a sturdier chassis (not to call a Slant weak mind!)

If you’re pedalling up/around too, I’d lean towards Slant.

We’ve had really good feedback from these (well, the whole range actually!) – several folk running full travel Slant, several dropped to 140 etc. They’re simple, but well made – rather that cheap/naff and loads of surplus adjustments.

Dead simple lowers service, they’ve got instructions for that on their site too.

We’ve just had a few 160/Black Slants arrive – over here on our shop site.

Vengeance is a 36 stanchion, bigger+beefier. What travel are you thinking of running at?

Hope emailed us today, they’re hoping to start shipping wheels with the new hubs towards the end of this coming week and hubs the week after, all being well.

Email if you’d like me to get in touch once we know that they’re sending out the new uns.

One thing that amazed us last year (with the Hero 3 launch) was just how many different people were buying them. We’d assumed a real bike focus, especially with it being distributed by a bike distributor, but we were selling to other sports people, a film company, motorsports etc too.
