Yeah I’ve dropped a few emails today, no idea where something like this as a one off starts at cost wise.

Hole isn’t needed to be included, plan to drill that once it is offered up. Also realised that the site has compressed the image, as an overall it is 30x30x15mm.

I’m giving a gluten free diet a go having lived with severe mouth ulcers since in my teens. Doctors have never been able to diagnose it so trying some diets to see if it has any effect.

Do not go near M&S gluten free scotch eggs is most valuable thing i’ve learnt so far.

I organised a stag a couple months back there. Had a great few hours at the crafty Devil brew shop doing a whiskey and beer pairing session.

I had an email 3 days ago saying order dispatched, only this morning has the tracking code started working, only to say they are aware of the parcel. I’m not in a rush for my stuff but funny when you compare it to ordering stuff from bike-discount.de which is quicker on their free delivery!

I’ve not done the tubeless thing before but just got some wtb scraper rims. Wtb suggest 50mm tape if you go by their website but that seems to contrast with opinions I read elsewhere on the principles of widths!

I picked up a set seeing that the price for the full wheel set is the same as the rims alone. Not sure what will do with the rear hub yet!

Torcastle B&B. Stayed with wife there last year. Great place with amazing breakfasts. It’s on almost an island between river and canal with an Italian Job style tunnel to drive through under the canal. Hoping to get back there.

Have seen albums delayed before but not where you can see it available but has no songs. At least it’s not just me though, cheers

Read that Brendog was Disqualified in qualifying but is still in the finals due to being a ‘protected rider’. Anyone know what that means?

“This isn’t dangerous, stop flagging” or along those lines, funnily enough on checking it is currently removed again

Just a quick comment. Are you having this priced by different builders? If so you hope that you will get competitive pricing on what would ideally be your final design/layout/details etc. If you start changing things around after you have a builder on site and some of these changes have financial implications the builder is at that point not likely to be competitive with costs to changes. I’d recommend layouts are agreed at the point the contractor prices rather than after.

So are they not willing to release anything be it an export form their model or even 2d exports of the areas you need? We’ve had projects where structural of Mechanical guys aren’t using Revit and we’ve combined our model sections with 2d dwg overlays of their sections – obviously not ideal!

Shame Architect is not releasing their model to you seeing that revit/ BIM is all about information sharing. I assume you won’t be releasing yours to them either! A little odd for a design team to be both using Revit but not sharing models, seem to negate some of the main benefits of using it. Impressed you have spent the time taking the model that far yourselves though.

It’s a little hard to understand your exact problem and what you are trying to do without some sections or better views.

One question though, as the M&E consultant, how much does it matter if the architectural model isn’t perfect on your drawings? The roofs aren’t going to be built from your drawings.

Same thoughts as above regarding thickness of grip, the images on the site showed a lot thicker and therefore pronounced moulding than what is possible. Also I think the lock bolts were squashed up against my grips in the packing because I have two bolt sized recesses in the grips which aren’t shifting!
Not ridden with mine yet for any further thoughts

Thanks for the suggestions do far. If organizing it yourself do you tend to start and finish in the same place? Looking into the logistics of hiring bikes and finishing at a different destination. Full on organised tours don’t come cheap!

Santorini is nice, but don’t believe the hype around the most romantic sunset in the world. Unless your idea of romance is being surrounded buy hundreds of wooping Americans.

Depends what purpose you are using the bash for…do you need it to help keep the chain on? Then generally no. Do you need it to protect the chainring from knocks? Then yes

I work north Oxford, nice area and the expensive side of town. Headington/Cowley are the cheaper end and closer to Shotover, which as mentioned is pretty good fun when you know the area. Good pubs and good bike shops

Trying a chilterns ride tomorrow, could you point out the Grims Ditch section? I’ve ridden around the area noted as Grims Ditch on the Osmaps but never seemed to find the fabled trail

Is it possible to download multiple mags and make sure they stay on the phone until I decide otherwise? I downloaded one edition the other day, then just tried downloading another today to find the first I downloaded is now gone and needs redownloading. I had this same problem with the pocketmags app. It’s a little frustrating if you want to download a few mags for a trip. Why do they unload themselves?

I’ve been collecting 1×10 stuff for a while and decided to install it all yesterday for today’s ride before my new thick/thin chainring has arrived. I’m however leaving my front mech in place for the time being just in case. I’ve removed the shifter and cables and just screwed the mech into place.

I guess first thing to do is to try a different wheel in your fork or your wheel in a different fork to confirm which it is? Maybe your LBS could help?

I’d be wary about adding random spacers to take account of wear/damage though.

I’ll give this a go on my lunch break, good idea!

You didn’t leave something out when your replaced the bearings did you?

I’m not aware that I did, I don’t think there is much to it really: bearings either side, 1 internal sleeve and then the two end caps.

Did you use branded bearings (e.g. SKF, Schaeffler, Toyo) or Wang-Min Tung Industrial Bearing Property Limited Company parts?

They are branded, I can’t remember what of top of my head but I still have the receipt at home so will check. I did have a look at them and I couldn’t notice any play in them at all- but take your point that it may be hard to notice when not in place.

Similar experience as above, placed order for a chainring which said next batch will be delivered on 7th August, checking my account today it still says ‘pending’ and the item page now says next deliveries will be 13th August. Dropped a message asking to confirm yesterday so see what response I get.

The pocketmags app is cack on Android – for me anyway. Magazines unload themselves, normally you find this out as you sit down on a train to read them and have no internet available to re-download them

Last bike I bought I waited until I saw the manager free and grabbed his attention, told him the bike I was looking at and that I had seen it cheaper online, without saying how much. Told him I’d prefer to buy from him and was there anything he could do? He disappeared, presumably to check online, came back and had matched what I had seen. I would have probably paid a little more than that just to have the shop at my disposal
