As a new member im getting worried im gonna accidently ride into this dodgy place.

Seriously, can someone give me a clue where it is.

Think they mean the side of the Ice Cream Run where theres a bit of singletrack which keeps you off the rocks.

Just got back from Rivington and only met one other MTB – and only a handful of walkers – bliss for a change !!!

I will be willing to meet up but Im back at work till next week so wont be out riding.

Clifton to Rivington would be old railway over M60 to Radcliffe, Canal to Bolton then I’d go smithills dean, over to back of dog kennels.

Ice cream run still scares me – I prefer San Marino – think it’s the noise on the Ice Cream run which makes you think you are carrying a Dinner Set as your wheels bounce on the rocks.

Theres load of good stuff in our part of the world.

I’m in Bolton and have learned many routes around the area and towards manchester over the last few months so if you want any advice let me know

Ive ordered twice off CRC & had problems with both items, the first being a simple light bracket which was damaged when it arrived.

Looked like someone had cut through it with a knife so im guessing it was when they opened the boxes in the warehouse.

Second was a Tyre that wasnt delivered in the time they promised & the Track & Trace number wouldnt work.

It arrived shortly after, but perhaps I was just unlucky.

Gotta say though the customer service is brilliant with the light bracket being replaced straight away & constant communication with a lovely Irish girl in Dispatch until the day the tyre arrived.

I wouldnt hesitate to use CRC again despite these incidents.

Ive got a G3 exactly the same & love it to bits. Ive put a Charge Spoon saddle on it & some DMR vaults.

My riding is mainly trails and im not into jumping off rocks anymore so its perfect for me.

Gotta agree about the tyres though as Ive replaced them with Maxxis Advantage 2.4 on front 2.1 on the rear as there is not much clearance on the chainstays.

The Contis where OK but the maxxis ride miles better on rough surfaces.

Had my G3 since July & apart from snapping the Mech Hanger on a pitch black night ride on my own in the middle of nowhere its been 100%
