I was going to get some before I realised you can get a £5 kit of spacers that does the same thing.

Jack Ryan series on prime was great, nothing too deep but very bingeable.
Tried ozark but found it quite boring. It’s a shame because I like the premise and really wanted it to be good.

Just started ‘the Americans’ which I cannot believe passed me by for six seasons. Couple episodes in and it’s Sooo good.

Having done this a couple times with a baby/ toddler I can say there are few things I’d rather do less.
But as said get a seat for them..even if they can technically go on your lap.

Get one of these: https://www.flylegsup.com.
Was a god send once our toddler was too big for the bassinet.

Think about a veggie meal so one of you gets served first cos tray tables and toddlers really don’t mix

I hear Phenergan is also good.

We have lhr to syd via Perth coming up with a newborn and a 2 1/2 year old. I’m dreading it.

Impact drill bits have a different shank which fits into the driver but you can still use them in a combi drill.
I rarely use my combi drill as now my impact does everything. It’s also lighter and smaller for tight spots.

There’s not much to pick between the top brands imo, users of each will still say theirs is the best though. I use dewalt personally.

For diy I’d say something like ryobi or eurbaur would be a good bet a fair bit cheaper

Just do the plug top idea if you’re not going to get a spark in.

Or wago it under the floor then run a spur from that into the new location. Then of course you’ll test it – r1 r2, ir, Zs, rcd trip time to ensure compliance and issue minor works cert

Hamilton are decent for the metal stuff. I wouldn’t go mental with usb sockets though, everything will be wireless charging soon enough

Well after more research

Wippermann 11 speed wear test finds Connex 11SX chain lasts longest

Have gone for Wipperman Connex, extra lifespan makes it seem good value. Either that or I’m a victim of wipperman propaganda.

I was there couple years ago for a month.

I would say it depends what you want to do, if it’s just a beach holiday then I think there are better places to go. Beaches look great in the pics but in reality theyre not the cleanest.

If you want to move around abit see some cool stuff it’s great. We took the train up to the mountains though the tea plantations to kandy, climbed Ella rock and Adams rock for sunrise saw the wildlife in the national park, saw Whales in Marissa- the list goes on.

We were backpacking then but two kids later I wouldn’t hesetate to go back with them. Maybe I’d hire a car and driver now though and probably stay off the maniac busses.

Also worth noting, addition of a new circuit from the cu would be ‘notifiable work’ and you would either use a electrician who can test and sign it off or notify your local building control of the works you intend to carry out. Just sayin

Well 4mm is rated up to 37amps (assuming installation method is ‘clipped direct’) so you’d have to run a 6mm radial from your 40amp breaker.

A standard ring final circuit is 2.5mm on a 32amp breaker which serves a floor area of up to 100m2. You could also run a 4mm radial circuit on a 32amp.

Whichever way you do it, would have to be rcd protected.

40a is a a lot! Bearing in mind some houses only have a 60a main fuse.

I would get you local electrician in for some advice.

There is a lot more to think about than just what wire size I.e do you have rcd protection, exporting the pme to an outbuilding, discrimination between protective devices in the garage and house

Just get an adjustable time lag switch. They should be a direct replacement for your current light switches so no wiring involved.

Well not no training at all, have been out on the bike and surfing all summer. A lot to be said for cross training…

Agreed, fantastic event and course. Shame about the weather on sunday

Wow some fast times in this thread.

Did the Bristol half yesterday got a pb of 134.47, pretty pleased since I haven’t done any running since April.

Would love to get into running properly but every time I start to build up some miles I get niggling problems like shin splints. Might try some park runs next to mix it up. 5k is a nice distance

Whilst I’ve only been to the snow once so have nothing to compare with, we found Alpe d’huez to be great for beginners, seemed to have loads of green runs and wasn’t too expensive, bus from grenoble airport was super easy .

There is no such thing as a ‘dead test’ certificate. As said what you will have is a Electrical Installation certificate. This comprises of dead tests (insulation resistance, continuity) which are done to ensure its safe to energize the installation and then live tests (loop impedance and rcd) to ensure the circuits meet the required disconnection times. The qualified electrician who did the installation will complete the certificate and send it to building control usually via their part p scheme.

I quit in my office job at 25 to go work in oz for a year, then spent the next 7 being a beach bum in various corners of the world. Met my missus in oz and now have residency out there.

Jacking my office job was the best thing I ever did. When we finally settled down abit I retrained as a sparky which whilst not glamorous means I can take extended breaks and not worry about gaps on my cv.

We also always rent out our apartment as a short term let when travelling to cover the mortgage and bills etc.

Well I just bought a ritchey p29 which would be fairly traditional I guess. I mainly ride xc with a bit of racing so anything which can’t climb well doesn’t interest me.

As said can’t you just replace the chuck? My combi was doing the same so I got an uprated metal jobby

I ended up with dewalt kit and it’s fine. Seems to me most people choose based on colour or what was on special at screwfix that week.

Whilst I don’t use saws most chippys on site seem to have the festool stuff. Some bloke the other day had a dewalt flexvolt saw now that was a beast

Bobba I’m not sure boards have come along way at all, they are still the same basic construction and use the same truck design.(unless you are talking longboards or carvers). Only difference in my 15year absence is kids are on wider decks and different wheel sizes (and also the average 8year old can skate better than me)

I skate my reissue all the time, I think the only reason you wouldn’t is cos they’re pricey and you don’t wanna mess up the art

My girlfriends dad was taking down an old fence and stabbed himself through the hand with a nail – over Easter weekend. The significence was not lost on the hospital staff.

Turned out to be quite a big deal, even though it wasn’t stuck in there or anything, it was really rusty so they had to put him under open up his hand and clean out the wound.

Sounds like you won’t be interested in leaning fakie or nollie tricks so i’d look at a directional board. Something like this for old skool cool:https://powell-peralta.com/bones-brigade-caballero-dragon-blue-complete-skateboard-assembly-10-x-29-75

Then go check the bones brigade doc for some inspiration

Why not have ago, its not like a board is a massive investment, a nice setup is pennies compared to a decent mtb.

I’ve picked it up again at the ancient age of 35, I just ride the ramps now (too many rolled ankles trying to relearn flip tricks).

Also i’ve never understood why skating is seen as a kids sport, unlike say snowboarding which no one would think twice about taking up in later life.

I only recently started using stw again after a long while (like 12years) as stopped biking.

Back then I bought and sold an absolute shed load of stuff, always paid paypal or even bank transfer, never had a problem. I don’t even remember the friends and family option in paypal.

Will try another pm and mail, Hoping it’s just a case of poor comms and I’ll get me bits or a refund.

My other half is big into it ever since we we went to Nashville couple years back. Randomly she also started watching Nashville only to find one of her old school friends is one of the lead actresses.

I’ve been dragged to c2c twice and various other gigs. As a metal fan I’d prob never admit it but a couple shows were good. Zak brown band and brothers osbourne spring to mind

If you want to try surfing head to the stretch from Soulac-sur-Mer to cap ferret, basically one 50mile long beach backed by lakes and pine forests. Great surf (can get big even in the summer) all along especially around laccanau. We stay here most of the summer freecamping in the forest and surfing everyday.

If you want a break from the surf you can head to the lakes where they do sailing, paddle boarding etc. The ferry over from Royan will save you some driving for about 30ish euro.

Abit further down Dune of Pilat is quite fun for day

The Titans are great. I’ve been using the 5kg one for work when chasing and core drilling, Basically anything which would wreck my battery sds.

I was thinking for £50 when it bit the dust i’d just buy another but its still going strong 2years later

^ nice suggestion. Good lighting can really make a difference and is as simple as running an extra bit of cable.

All the higher spec new builds we do have 5 amp sockets controlled by wall switches.

Two way switching in bedrooms so you have a light switches near the bedside is also nice feature.

Mentioned above, get them to install radial circuits for sockets, much easier testing and any potential fault finding in the future.

Re the fan it will also need a double pole isolator as well as the fcu. For this you could use a key switch if you are worried about people tuning it off
