Our boys 5 & 8 have been an absolute nightmare this summer. The fighting, sand throwing,  general bickering backchat. We  all are squeezed into a small van for 4 weeks so it’s 90% our fault I’m sure.
It doesn’t help that the all the French kids around us are impeccably behaved.

Well I just got a 105 group set from Ali for cheap. Turned up within 7 days with extra no charges. No retail boxes and I guess warranty would be an issue but not all stuff is dodge.
    Also liking the ryet saddles

The odd pronunciation of SRAM as ‘Shram’
It triggers my misophonia worse than my girlfriends loud chewing.

I have alternating squint meaning I use both eyes, with 20/20 in each, just not at the same time.

Had my 4th op this year at 40, mainly for cosmetic reasons but the switching between eyes was making close up work annoying. It might be worth getting a referral to at least discuss your options.

I got elite wheels pro 33 wheelset which is around 1400g. and have had no complaints.

Rims are about 170each but the full wheel set was only 500

Where was the ‘busy street’ in Bristol anyone know. Would be nice to know if I need to be extra careful or is it just a Bristol wide thing…

But hospitals are clogged up with people who smoke and eat too much junk food and they are not getting vilified in the same way.

Even as a twin vaxxed person myself it’s amazing the animosity on here shown to people who choose not to have the vaccine.

Surely as triple vaxxed people you should be relatively safe against these unvaxxed monsters anyway

There can be consequences from the vaccine so there should be a choice -just ask one of your own kyle warner- former pro mtber who has been royally f’d up by his Pfizer dose.

I’m selling an Elite suito if anyone is interested in avoiding an eBay frenzy.
Bought it a couple months back but decided sweating in the corner of our living room isn’t my thing.

I would read ‘spoon fed’ by tim Spector (he of the COVID Zoe app).
It has completely changed my view on food/diet and and I now enjoy a lot of things I had cut out due to the perceived health/planetary benefits.

Unfortunately it has also upped my shopping bill somewhat in my quest to avoid anything pumped full of shit.

I’m the market for a carbon road bike/frame and the are deffo some decent savings on new- however I’m worried about the warranty side of things…I never owned a carbon bike before so I’m convinced it’s going to immediately crack and fail!

I’m in the same boat – mainly because I have nice non disc kit ready to transfer over.

Only thing I can find which will fit me really well and not over budget is a trek emonda alu I believe weight wise its on par with the carbon sl version.

For the £800 the van rysel ultra frameset looks decent if the geo suits.

It is you for sure, am me, and a lot of other people.
It’s the black and white thinking that is the problem I rekon- nhs sink or swim- what if they just managed to stay afloat-
maybe bojo (**** btw) is doing a ok job – not utterly shit but not amazing either.

We seem to make up our minds and then find the information to back up our views- easy with Covid because even similarly qualified scientist can’t agree.

Just leave the ravers be..we were all young once.
At least they are probably building up some kind of heard immunity now rather than delaying the inevitable. Just as long as they don’t take granny

Or maybe there won’t be a lockdown 3.0. Maybe they will decide on a different approach because let’s face it this one isn’t ****ing working.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. There are some people who get a kick out of following the rules to the tee (they seem to mainly congregate on this forum) but I’d just use common sense – wash hands, don’t cough on old people etc etc

+1 for vintage/jhs- They are great instruments with quality Wilkinson hardware.
Far better than than a similarly priced squier/epiphone. I have a Sunburst s-type and greeny les Paul ripoff.
The resale is crap so there are second hand bargains to be had.

Do do it- You’ll get an electric guitar and amp, then a valve amp because they’re better obviously, then another amp cos you want different tones, then a pedal , then 10 more pedals – then you’ll start watching hour long videos on stacking pedals and klon centaur clones, then you’ll start worrying about pickup selection and then you’ll prob buy more guitars because you need a strat, tele and les Paul really

+1 for michel thomas. I learnt Spanish Initially with his course and found it much better than the traditional text book method. I don’t think it works for everyone though, my misses tried it and couldn’t get along with not seeing things written down.
He does have clickymouth and the guy in the class is abit annoying are the only downsides.

We usually take our motorhome down to SW france in August. I still have high hopes we can this year but I suppose it depends on UK visitors being allowed to enter France.
Thinking about it as long as the beach is open and we can surf social distancing measures wouldn’t drastically affect our holiday

At 25 why not go down the working holiday visa route to see if you like it. That way you are not having to pay for an expensive visa. There is plenty of work out here (Sydney at least) so you could jump straight in, a labourer will take home $27 an hour.
Then You always have the option of looking for a job within your trade when you are out here.

I did it ten years ago and was the best decision I ever made. I was kind of escaping problems I guess, but for me it put some perspective on things and any problems I had seemed a long way away.
Having just finished work a 3pm and now off for a quick surf and bbq, I can definately vouch for the lifestyle.

I really feel it if I don’t get enough sleep.
With a todddler and 6week old I get 8 1/2 hours of fairly broken sleep. Fell tired most of the time. Wonder if say 6hrs of solid sleep is better than 8or9 broken…

Is your the velo solo kit?
I had the same issue but mine were actually rubbing the fork using zee rotors. I complained velosolo who sent me some button head screws but they were still not really long enough at 12mm. Toolstation or similar should have some longer ones.
I got the mop better boost kit in the end as got fed up messing about with washers.

I’ve always got a decent rate in Sainsbury’s.

A lot of the high street places will price match anyway in my experience.

720 ended up being comfortable for me. Tried bars uncut at 750, was too wide. 800 would feel ridiculous. That’s riding XC hardtail tho

Im definitely no mechanic but having had a 08 trafic and 2013 transit I would go for the trafic out of the two.

The trafic was ex aa and the only problem I had in 3 years were the injectors. One of them went at around 90k but luckily wasn’t stuck in the head. Had all 4 replaced for £1500.
The problem apparently is caused by water getting down around the bottom of the windscreen somehow and pooling around the injector. The is a very easy fix if you have a google.

I wouldn’t touch another transit with a barge pole. Had numerous faults with stop start, dpf, egr valve failing. Injector went at 90k.
Rust was shocking as well for a five year old van.

I had the same quandary recently. As I only have a 1080p tv decided to go for the one s.

The one x supposedly looks better at 1080p but not 100quid+ better.
I’d say if you have or are soon to have a 4k tv then get the one x.
