Obscure Kermode fact 2. His real name was Mark Fairy, but he changed it and I must say I find his choice of surname…erm…puzzling?

Chainsuck on a brand new Moots. Felt sick when it happened but like the OP says, at least it got all that out of the way.

Used to hear some interesting (absurd?)rumours about him Leeds, back in the day.

I never used to believe them until I heard Frank Skinner allude to it in a round about way and have wondered ever since

Interesting debate. Almost makes me wish we had VAT to worry about in Guernsey.

Oh we don't have car tax either, instead fuel duty was increased last year.

    I pay almost 75p a litre now! 😀 😀

Man takes his sick wife to the doctors, who do some tests.

Doctor – "We're not sure what's wrong with your wife, but we've narrowed it down to either Alzheimers or Aids"

Man – "Well what should I do?"

Doctor – "Drive her into town. If she finds her way home. Don't shag her"

Cockpit – when referring to the distance between seat and handlebars.

It is a bicycle you twunt and not a **** F16 fighter jet.

All of the above (except the Bells) are excellent Whiskies. I have around 10 bottles of single malt at the moment but my favourite is an 18 year old Mortlach. Very smooth and a better bet IMHO than an Islay malt, which I think is an acquired taste.

    Peter Parker. And so..

"Does your spider have a name?"

    Roper – "Peter Parker."

    "Peter Parker? Why Peter Parker?"

    Roper- "It's a spider man"

I love fishing, especially at night for big carp.

If you hook into a hard fighting 20lb carp in the middle of the night then that is exciting.

If you don't catch anything then you have been camping. Which is also cool

I was staying at the same place one weekend as the guys testing the PRST-1 – before it went into full production about 10 years ago.

EDIT – Oh and I once had lunch with Rebecca Romero – who told me that the Greek writing on the back of her Athens Medal read

" Congratulations on winning your Olympic Silver medal. Better luck next time"

I've got a Moots, nice bike but not worth the extra money over a good steel frame in my experience.

When I say good though I mean something like a Dave Yates rather than a Cotic

Carbon forks? Certainly are, and with a fatter tyre you'll hardly notice any road buzz. I've never cycled around Edinburgh though (love your City BTW) just thought that set up might be a bit more efficient, especially when climbing.

Bring him back and if you find him offensive…well actually so what? Be offended and MTFU – it's just a forum FFS, it is NOT real life.

The only people on here that should be banned are those that want people banned.

    Those that begin a sentence.

"I'm not racist but…" inevitably followed by a Daily Mail style rant.

Oh and its an MTB. And MTB = MounTain Bike. Where on earth did Multi Terrain Bike or Mountain Terrain Bike come from?

I've only ever had one problem with some parts missing from a bike stand and CRC sorted that out very quickly.

Have always been impressed by their prices and service.

Seriously Rapidman be careful. I'm not going to go into details on a public forum but here's a few pointers

    1) I see MyHome describes itself as a Plc listed on AIM. Do some research and you will find that the shares were suspended and then de-listed about a year ago. whilst your at it try and get hold of the administrators report, makes interesting reading.

    b) Who runs the company now anyway? Not that board they list on their investor relations link. Ask them why that has not been updated.

    c) Ask them to give you a list of ALL their Chips Away franchisees – then call a few and see how many have been trying to sell then ask them why they can't. Can't have a list? No, thought not.

OK that's all I can say without getting libellous. All the above info is in the public domain if you know where to look.

Email me if you want the low down. Good luck

However she looks like a hot 30 year old vixen, and doesnt conform to the stereotype of a blue badge holder, so we regularly get reactions varying from dirty looks to people confronting me/her, especially outside waitrose.

Reminds me of a lodger I used to have who had a disabled badge. I was with her once when some righteous c0ck felt compelled to stop putting the shopping in the boot of his car to come over and berate her for parking in a disabled space. After about 60 seconds of lecture she smiled sweetly, took off her trousers and unscrewed her false leg. The look on his face was priceless.

The very happy ending to that story is that when we returned to the car somebody had left her a cheeky note saying he thought she had the best arse he'd ever seen and his phone number.

Happily married now with 2 kids and another on the way!

Is the same franchise that is owned by MyHome (PLC) – I put the PLC in brackets as they went into administration about a year ago.

If so I know the company, their head office and some of their franchisees very well.

    Don't go there
