The british olimpics team has a policy of always checking the persons D levels after any broken bone. No help for the boredom but might stop it happening again.

Yet another thing to consider is environmental factors. Do you sleep with a window open so you are getting enough fresh air at night? Have you had new carpets fitted recently? CFS and MCS are related conditions and some people cant handle the gassing off of chemicals from carpets / new car ineriors perfumes and sprays etc and can get wiped out by that.
Gut flora and health is another avenue to look at. Getting a variety from different sources of fibre, fermented foods etc

I see for longdog an elimenation diet did nothing but a simple food allergy or intolerance could be a factor. I know someone who becomes lethargic and can barely stay awake in the day if they eat chocolate, or drink even a small bit of alcohol.
If you squeeze your calf muscle quite hard does it really hurt or just feel like pressure. If painfull could be magnesium defiecient.

Its quite possibly not classed as a stick on the trail if its stuck in the ground with the pointy end that could impale someone. Have a look Wiki punji sticks.
“Punji sticks are banned from use as weaponry under the 1980 Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons.”
Done the right thing reporting it.

Stress and poor diet poor sleep can lead to magnesium deficiency which you could read up about how that relates to palpitations.

Maybe dont follow the advice of just doing some stretches !! They are over rated anyway and id didnt help with it so far. In the long term when things calm down a bit how about finding a Feldenkrais teacher or Alexander technique teacher. A friend with really bad back uses ME design back friend chair supports and really likes them.
The Sarah Key back excercises make alot of sense and her book the back sufferers bible explains things well.

His chanel has been a regular watch for me recently. That benches line is very nice set of tricks. Its good for kids to have a role model like him too.

New tyres have gone up ok without wobble. I should have probably gone with the innertube idea first but couldnt wait. Right they are not tubeless rims.
One other thing is do you have to constantly replace valve cores? Seems like the ones ive just fitted have sealed themselves up after about 3 hours with sealant inside and air is no longer freely going in to the tyre.I did remove the cores to inject the sealant by the way. They are schraeder valves .

Oh ok thanks claudie yes i think i will just give it a go. Im amazed they hold air so well without any sealant at all.

Cheers Owen. what do you mean by taping too much? does that mean that the tape is too close to the rim edge? to clarify the tyres are schwalbe “tubeless easy” ones, rims are mavic. The tape on there is up to about 1mm below the hooked part inside the rim.
Im not planing on riding at 95psi or 120psi more like 70psi, just trying to get bead to pop at the higher pressure. so the worst that can happen if i try it is some air loss maybe a bit of tyre slip on braking. I guess the sealant will limit slipping due to being like latex glue.

This (” hmmm” ) Never broken a tyre lever or struggled for twenty minuites with any tyre. Even if it had broken they are common so just get a spare or use a spoon handle.

you might find a 650c fork with canti bosses, if you are lucky on ebay or have a search. they have the same A to C as 24″ forks as you can see here by comparing the two links above and below.

Feldenkrais lessons or classes. When back gets a bit better do the Feldenkrais clock. Also Sarah Key back block excercises before bed. A few good short videos by her on youtube.
Use Suspension seatpost.

In an ideal world something like this but with classic motorbikes instead like a sdr200 or xt 500 or a little sports 400 like a honda cb1

A crock stick sharpener is quick to use and works well. The spyderco triangle sharpmaker is expensive though. There are cheaper wooden ones off ali express and the like. if it comes with coarse and fine stones the coarse can be for more agressive sharpening and the fine can be used gently as a steel would to realign the edge.

Dont know about alfine 8 going from di2 hub to mechanical but the 11 going to electronic from mechanical its not possible to adapt one to the other acording to here

https://bikeshed.johnhoogstrate.nl/bicycle/drivetrain/shimano_alfine_inter_11/

Adding Electronic Shifting to a Mechanical Hub

If you already own a bicycle with a Shimano Alfine hub (SG-700) and want to know if it is possible to upgrade to electronic shifting there is bad news: According to Shimano it is not possible to use the motor unit. The reason is that the hub (SG-700) contains a return spring. When shifting down, the shifter pulls the cable and tensions the spring. When shifting up cable tension is released and the spring pushes the hub in the right gear. With the Di2 hub (SG-705) the motor unit turns into different direction for shifting up and down. It would require more power for the motor to shift down and tension the spring.

Another piont which relates to this is councils charging for disposing of wood. Now people are burning their old treated wood and whatever else will burn causing much more air polution.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did the ride today and went by Nicky line, then Grand union canal, then Wendover arm of the canal to Wendover then by road to Longwick then Thame then followed National cycle route 57 to Oxford from there. Spotted on the way was a cycle route that goes from Princess Risboughrough to Thame and if I do it again I would pickup at Longwick which would have avoided the only really unpleasant bit, the Thame road. It was my first really long ride and took 4hrs 20mins moving time to cover 87km with a lunch break of half an hour.

For anyone planning similar routes i just found the Sustrans site which highlights what would be cycle friendly roads and tracks on their map. but doesnt include the towpath bits.

Leave it to soak in cheap vinegar. if it has pitting get some foam aluminium oxide sanding blocks of coarse medium and fine with some water and spend an hour polishing the cookng surface super flat for an easy to clean and low stick pan.even new ones are improved by doing the second step.

Maybe like me the op has kids he doesent want being exposed to skunk every day? Maybe he has the type of job where they test him for drugs regularly. Maybe he is an ex smoker who doesnt want to be exposed to it and wants to leave that behind. my house is very solid yet it comes in through boiler flue window air vents and air bricks. The neighbours are also growers as ive seen the plants. Still not worth calling the police though.Perhaps for the op it is is all im saying. if his job is at stake.
