The big wheels are nice for rolling over stuff easily, but I think would suit a deck with a bigger drop down and or drop through or even brackets (gbomb type) to keep it low. Its too high with the drop cat which it makes for more painfull achilles tendons after longer rides as well as harder to controll on hills as mentioned before.

I will have to try a surfskate too sometime for a new challenge, but first I like the idea of a pumper for efficient speed and distance.  For that an Lepsk8 ldp complete is apealing because its complete and should work. There is so much technical stuff to know about with setups otherwise. But saying that a pantheon supersonic deck is probably more likely to happen.

That loaded 38″ ^  looks like it would be a good allrounder.

Surprised so far there was no mention of Long distance pushing / pumping skateboarding. At 47 I am skating on a drop cat 38″ comuting and excercise after a break of 30 years. currently working on modifying a bennet truck in to a beernet for a pumping setup. So far just using a helmet and gloves but wrist guards on the way. Learning to foot break and ride switch and push mongo for more balanced long distance efforts.

Tried larger 90mm wheels but went back to 70mm for now as they seem to respond more predictably when carving hard to lose speed on hills.

The funny thing is a smokeless zone in a city does not mean you cant burn wood in a stove. You are not alowed to release smoke from a chimney yet wood stoves that are compliant with regulations are fine. Even a Zero emission zone does not prohibit burning wood in a stove. I live in a city where there are LTN and bus gates etc going in all over. I work in the city centre next to a street where a bus gate is going in and another one where there is a zero emision zone soon to be expanded to our street. The neighbour as well as the pub up the road burns wood in their stove daily from October till March.
So after all the expense and disagreements over these traffic measure the air I breathe for a large portion of the year is full of particulates and there is nothing I can do about it.

    Q to council-
    Hi,
Will the ZEZ only apply to vehicles or will there be additional restrictions on domestic heating using stoves and polution from chimneys?
    A from council-
The ZEZ Pilot is just about vehicles.
    Thanks

Those kom kom sound good steel, I have not tried them but I only like the look of the “special blade ” versions. the way the others are gound looks cheap and will result in poor performance and hard to sharpen well. Also generaly the handles look like not much knuckle clearance.

It is surprising how usefull and versatile a 13cm utility / petty knife is. Recomending what I got is a Robert herder Japaniche formen petty in carbon steel, but something similar from TK max would be alot cheaper but still work. Look for overall thinness of the blade and you wont go far wrong.

This happened to my work recently. An electrician said when the rcd box get old and the switch is never operated it can start tripping itself. The switch was swapped for a new one after switching off all the power to the building and so far is fine now.

My local council are planning a ULEZ calle a Zero emissions zone.
I checked with them and within this zone the burning of wood in a “Exempt appliance” (stove) in homes will still be allowed. Being that it “was estimated that wood burning was between 23 and 31% of the urban derived PM2.5 in London and Birmingham”, and ” Coupled with the poor correlation with daily temperature (R2 = 0.12- 0.57) this suggests that current urban wood burning is in large part decorative and is not being used primary heating” and “Wood smoke also contain several toxic air pollutants including benzene, formaldhyde, acrolein and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) such as Benzo[a]pyrene (B[a]P), contributing to the deterioration of urban air quality.”

Clean air zones have my vote 100% but do it properly or you are just wasting your time and inconveniencing alot of people while categoricaly not meeting your aims from day 1.

Spending time in hospital has a HUGE carbon footprint.
How many days in hospital are saved by excercising by cycling and not sitting in a car.
Coulds also apply to ebikes keeping people moving who could not otherwise get out.
Very hard to factor in this aspect to the calculation.

Will converting existing ICE cars to full EV become a more common thing? Is it ever going to be sensible or economical? Is it much better if at all for CO2 emissions than building a whole new car? I suspect the downfall of this path is that there are so many different shapes and models.

This knife is very very good.
Weight perfect for me, grind is thin behind the edge, steel holds its edge very well does not chip easily.

Or look for a japanese petty 130mm. for something special that holds its edge well £50 wont buy a good big knife (the above not included). And that size is very versatile.

Avoid anything with x50 cromov steel.

Turmeric though a good pain killer has anti androgenic properties.

Look at purified/filtered epa/dha liquid supplement and keep it in the fridge – rather than cod liver oil in capsules as the capsules are often rancid.

Also some of the trays are kept in the vans fridge and freezer which is ideal to keep any virus on them viable. If the customers dont touch them or take inside its cutting down the risks of spreading.

Why would people want to get their food delivered to avoid the shops then handle a tray increasing the chances of getting the virus when they could have a box/washing basket, few bags waiting by the front door to transfer the food in to. If the first person the driver delivers to has an infection the driver can then have the chance of contaminatig other peoples boxes including vulnerable people later in the shift.
There are quite a few vulnerable people getting their food dleivered at the moment.

I was given one of those multisharp things and it did a good job of getting secateurs sharp. If you have decent eyesight and follow the bevel of the blade carefully (maybe use the permanent marker trick if you are not confident) it could be done freehand with a narrow flat fine file or ceramic stone just as well.

for some in depth talks about D this Linsay Kieth channel has talks from a conference from some years ago. The link above with epidemiologist Oliver Gillie is a good one to start with. Not so much covid related though.
Im convinced that if everyone in UK got their vitamin D levels right the NHS could come out stronger to make up for the covid knockout.

With the erbauer and in general its worth watching the consumables spares availability before buying. I was looking for a planer and erbauer looked great at first until I realised that if the drive belt wears out it is impossible to get a replacement.
