Really like Luther. Yes its a bit OTT and that Pycho bird stretches credibility but all good to me.

The wire is one of the best shows that I’ve seen. Awesome!

    +1 for Terre a Terre.

Make a bee line for it whenever the opportunity arises, absolute favourite eatary and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone. My favourite is their take on fish and chips.

I’d love to have a Bonsai tree but having killed two that my girlfriend bought me I kind of got disheartened. Seeing this thread and some of the trees has got me interested again though!

Sorry to hear about your father and even more sorry about your relatives.

I can’t give you advice on wills etc but have had a couple of surveys on properties recently. We were offered three types; valuation, homebuyer survey and building report.
Valuation – basically confirms it’s a house and not falling down and estimates a value.
Homebuyer report – estimates a value but also assesses the property for any defects and rates their severity. A lot of the time will advise additional expert surveys. we paid 700.
Building report I believe is more thorough version of above but also identifies the repairs and associated costs.

Very nice molgrips – looks like a pic from the highest point in Finland 50 m above sea level…

Derek_Starship – extended holiday might be a bit of a stretch with long periods of boredom interspersed with some exhilerating times. Maybe ‘cos we went camping in the forest nearly every week (including -30C) it felt like a holiday!

Made me really appreciate being outdoors and feeling close to nature.

Finland! They won the 2011 ice hockey world cup and my mum was born there. Spent all my summer holidays there and an extended one in ’98 when i did national service there.

I’ve got an ’07 Dawg so its the Alu frame not scandium and less travel but frame has been bullet proof for me and I’ve enjoyed riding it. I’ve switched to 15mm axle on the front of mine like the deluxe and I feel it has made a difference.

    But it’s only 20lbs claimed!

A##e misread on my part, 20kgs. Sounded a bit to good to be true!

Don’t know anything about it but have seen it and been tempted on CRC. Only thing is I don’t want my bike to have cable runs on the topside of the toptube again. I have that at present on my Kona and it annoys me.

    If I’ve upset anyone, anteeksi.

Thought I’d get a bigger flame for having it in the bike forum rather than chat.

Hairychested – you could watch all the games live on the IIHF website €7/game or bundles of games. Thats how I watched the final.

Angry pirate – that didn’t seem to hinder them getting to the final

My considerably modified Kona Dawg from ’07.And I’ve worked out how to insert images!!!

Swapped the silver stem for an all black one and added a front mech since picture was taken.

I agree with the sentiments about Woy doing well. All my anger was levelled towards old owners and I mostly felt sorry for him. Looks like its worked out well for both parties!

    +1 peanut butter

In the Verminator tv show (think fly on the wall pest control in LA – no pun!) they use peanut butter to catch mice and rats. They also use an awesome trap called a T-Rex (fingers crossed link works):

We met in Liverpool. She was the letting agent for me and a mate and showed us around a couple of flats and we ended up taking their best flat. She was with someone at the time but split up with him several months later. Her colleague knew she had a soft spot for me so organised a random inspection on a Friday knowing I finished early. after the inspection we got chatting, had a couple of beers and had a nice time. Rather unethically she got my number from work “in case I wasn’t in” and texted me to let me know inspection was passed. So I suggested the next one should be in a pub and we went from there. Six years later and expecting our first child in October!

I tasted ale heaven for me at a beer festival a few years ago:

It’s my local brewery in Essex. My local supermarket stock it and on Thursday I pick up a 32 pint polypin for my BBQ! Love it love it love it!

We moved in December from rented. Offered 20K below asking (220K) and agreed 10K under. After survey settled on 12.5k under asking.

The last major update I did took a while – might have been around the time of the new black ops maps. First time froze, just kept trying and it worked eventually.

I have more than the average number of legs

Me too. Most of us on here probably have in order to ride bikes!

I did national service in the Finnish Army when I was 18.

I bought a fairly decent spec (core i5, 4gb ram, 500gb hard drive) Acer Aspire 5742 two months ago. Compared to the entry level Toshiba it replaced it doesn’t feel as solid and the keyboard isn’t as easy to use (may be a case of getting used to it) but in every other aspect it is way ahead. In particular it’s much much faster, noticably better screen and the battery last much longer. Perhaps have a look at one.

Mainly fitted on US cars by manufacturers to exhonerate their vehicles in the event of litigation. They are quite basic and not required by law.

If they are fitted to every car would you pay for it?
