I've also got a pocket-sprung memory foam topped Relyon mattress and I think it's great. Got it for £530 king size.

I twist and turn a lot in my sleep and use to wake my girl up but with the pocket springs this doesn't happen anymore. My sleep feels more refeshing on it but i was surprised at the additional warmth. It is about twice the thickness of our old one though.

Can't wait for MW2 (PS3) but still totally addicted to Zombie mode!

Can't believe I'm recommending this but if you do need to get back to a job then your skills sound quite transferrable to nuclear decommisioning work. There's a lot of glowing and not so glowing waste around that needs sorting. old sites have eventual aims to return to greenfield sites in a 100 years or so – you could pass the job down to the gt gt gt grandkids.

I think they are a good car. My advice is if you get one, avoid the sporty 18' alloys. My mate had one who is into mountaineering, mountain biking etc and he always moaned about the suspension feeling hard and wanting to change to a freelander. What did he expect the ride to feel like in some potholed carpark in the arse end of nowhere!

Throughout a cars lifecycle manufacturers continuously look for more efficient ways of doing things so if they can get a similar performance for less they will. Drums are probably cheaper than disks so a later model might not have them all round.

Also, the difference in weight might not seem that much greater but the estate has a much greater load area. If you're towing a 1500kg trailer as well as being fully laden thats a fair old weight to stop.

I've had good experience with Jenson too. I ordered Avid Code f/r brakes Tues 1am. By 11am Thurs they'd arrived. I was mightily impressed!

Did you get charged import duties?

I got some Avid codes from Jenson USA for £170 compared to £260 on CRC. 10 days later a letter from FedEX arrived with the £25 import duty. Still a good save but not the bargain I originally started raving about! Again, I ordered Tues 02.00am and they arrived on Thursday!

Hideous and pointless car. Now the A5 or Merc CLS are a different matter…
