I have an N97 with an identical operating system so this should all apply.

Sportstracker V2.06 – is the latest version of sportstracker. I have it running succesfully on my phone.

Ovi – works fine on my Vista PC. Have you tried re-installing it/checking its the latest version? Might take some time for correct drivers to be installed or you may have to run through the wizard which sets up a new device.

Maps – as previously suggested download the maps to your phone. If you get ovi up and running download them from there.

As a young chap with a sense of adventure I did national service in Finland where my mum is from.

One guy in my dorm was a utterly lazy f**ker. When they decided it was a good idea for our unit to do a 20 minute run every morning at 5.30 before breakfast, he'd get his mate to padlock him in his locker while we were out in -10. Lucky for him it wasn't a standalone one otherwise i'd have tipped it over. He also used to go to medical every day to try and miss training. To avoid any alternative duties he'd set his sleeping bag up under his bed and sleep all day. I hated him the little git!

However, I did fall asleep while we were stopped on a major excercise though and woke up to an officer kicking snow in my face. At least I was trying!

    The case is absolutely sickening.

However, the kids, and they are still kids, can't have been like that to start. I think upbringing, or lack of, has a lot to do with it. Sadly this won't make it any easier for the victims.

+1 TJ – this reminded me of a comparison to the Bulger case with a similar incident in Norway.

Don't do what my brother did for his flatmate – buy him a copy of Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Drinking. Went down like a lead balloon!

Like what most people have said, until you can get him to honestly admit to having a problem or something acts as a sharp wake up call then you just have to support him.

I went in to Hayles Cycles in Cornwall whilst on holiday because I'd idiotically put the left pedal on the right arm and foobarred the thread. They re-threaded it good and proper and didn't want anything! They also took a good deal of time recommending local bike routes. I felt cheap only giving them a fiver for a beer for their time and help.

Thanks to Manwell I don't feel cheap anymore!

Variety is the spice of life
Different types of fruit and vegetables contain different combinations of fibre, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. Eating a variety of fruit and vegetables will ensure that you get a good mix.

A good rule of thumb is to eat fruit and vegetables of different colours. Often the chemicals that are responsible for the colours are the same ones that are good for health. From here.

I was going to write all that but sounded like an repetitive 5 year old.

Still, I reckon I get mine, not hard being a Vegetabletarian.

    dailypost.se isn't bad for apps.

I'm thoroughly fed up with my N97 at the mo. It's on a 3 network so they haven't implemented the latest firmware update. I'm sending it off for repair but reckon they'll just reflash it and say its fixed like they did last time.

TV – good now they have the HD channels, HD box a bit plain.
    BB – always been fine.
    Phone – alwyas been fine.
Customer Service – pretty shite. Kept mucking up 1 of three installations they have done for me. I took two days off work for no-one to turn up and then they weren't able to do the job even when they did get there. Was not happy to say the least.

I wouldn't bet on snow in Stockholm. That far south and by the coast you could be dissapointed. Thats why the Christmas trips are much further to the north in Finnish or Swedish lapland.

I can't see this as being an inexpensive trip.

    True story here.

For years my brothers and I believed that the celebrated botanist/biologist David Bellamy was our uncle. He looks amazingly similar to our old man; rotund, grey-haired and big beard so it wasn't to hard for our old man to convince us as 8 year olds. The only thing we were concerned about is why we hadn't had an awesome christmas/birthday present from this famous relative.

This cruel trick on our youthful gullability was to backfire when my brothers cub pack were all awarded their conservation badge for some do-gooding activity and it was presented by a VIP, David Bellamy. When he gets to my brothers they say "hi uncle david, my dad tells us you're his brother". He replied "no I'm not" and walked off. When my old man turns up at cubs to pick them up my brothers drag him over to David Bellamy and try and get him to "remember" our dad/his brother.

Needless to say our old man couldn't get away quick enough and hasn't tried to convince us of famous relatives since.

I lived in Liverpool for 8 years and people always ask to "lend" a pen/tenner/other daily object of you. That is really wrong.

Me – and I'm going on boxing day for 15 days!

On the Goneboarding website there's a section called Sno Mates where billys look for a group to go with and groups with dropouts look to fill a space. That could be of use!

Level 37 with two – camp on gangway above bowie, betties by mystery box location. One needs a wunderwaffe and to shoot large groups at bottom of stairs, letting ones or twos up (2nd gun ray or mg). The other needs mg and ray gun and takes all the ones that get to top of the stairs and come through the window. If possible set electric fence at beginning of round. A little luck helps.

I saw this link on AV forums today but haven't had a chance to check it out here.

Car manufacturer spend a lot of money on reducing costs – if they could have removed those two essential rear bolts to save design effort and money they definitely would have.

I would definitely not get in a car with you.

7 seems to be what everyone is recommending but I'm sure I read somewhere if you purchased a new machine with Vista since June you can upgrade for free to 7. Here it is:

I've had accupuncture before, mainly to relax my back. I got a sensation similar to that I get before pins and needles, like blood rushing around under the skin. My back felt better after.

Helsinki is great. I lived there for 6 months while I did Finnish national service – hardcore (I'm half Finnish so may be slightly biased).

Everywhere in Europe is expensive since the pound plummeted but I've never found it any different from drinking in London. A lot of Finns drink at home beforehand to lighten the burden…

The Finns have a reputation for being quiet but after a few beers they loosen up. Plus, once they find out you're English speaking they'll want to practise on you!

It's probably worth getting a 3 day travel ticket that can be used on the trams, buses and underground.

As for cold and gloom, they've had their first snow already last week but it's unlikely to settle.

I'm in the pro-windfarm lobby. I used to work in Nuclear and wouldn't want my energy needs of today being my grandchildrens problem in the future. We're still cleaning nuclear sites from the 50's and 60's.

I'd prefer to see local Combined Heat and Power plants – excess heat is reused for heating homes and businesses and less transmission losses (i hope).
