Only one bolt stripped? Get a high quality allen key in the other bolt and tighten it. This will reduced the force acting on the bolt with the damaged head and you will probably be able to undo it then. Then put another well greased bolt in and do the same to get the second original bolt out.

I think I’ve got a lightly used one kicking around in my box of Phil Wood stuff. You can have it for a couple of beers.

The Ogre is the 29er version of the Troll. It has the same geometry as the KM, but the funny dropouts will take racks, trailers, mudguards and what not a lot easier, due to the placement of the rear disc.

Good bit of kit if you want something you can strap all sorts of shit to.

Cool – always liked them 🙂 Well, I say always – I mean a bit in the early 90’s

Just back from Delamere. Loads of off piste, slop slip and slide – keep it short and sharp and a proper muddy ride is ace. Pint in the pub to follow and it’s all gravy.

To be quite honest – no! I’m **** loving it at the minute and I think it’s in no small part down to riding this…

They’re just massive bags of fun in the slop and with a deore drivetrain, cheap to keep going through a yucky winter.

Off out again tonight on it, rode the Long Mynd on it last Sunday, Yorkshire Dales next sunday.

Jon you melon, get it over here at some point. And start riding with us again.

Where do you live? Take the frame to a decent shop with some dropout alignment tools and get it checked properly by someone who know’s what they’re looking for. I’ll have a look if you’re nearby, take about 30 seconds.

Muck boots. I have a pair of Woodies ( I think) worn everyday for two years, dog walking, shit kicking and generally being outside. Did a 26 mile walk in them once, they’re starting to wear now, will definitely buy another pair.
I screwed self tappers into the sole for icey winter use and for making sparks in the dark.

Hope hubs have a 10mm axle. Paint is occasionally thicker than it should be. A couple of seconds with a file and every one is a winner.

Don’t go thinking it’ll only be a day either. My BiL was in the same boat not long since (business partner off sick due to a knee replacement). the case he would have been on was that of the couple who killed their daughter. Case took five months, he got his service deferred.

Please bare in mind that a buyer can pay with paypal, receive the goods and then simply tell paypal he didn’t authorise the transaction. Paypal take the money back off you and that’s that. Even with a Special Delivery showing the signature of the recipient, they will not give the seller a refund.

    Rare, but it does happen.

Sincere apologies Tim, i was viewing the page on an iphone, i’m now away out to self flagellate with hazel rods for my penance, nice spitfire by the way

Most stw “niche-tastic” cars here in order of my personal desirability :
    Lancias – Win/Win
    Triumph Stag – Win
    TR6 – Win
MG Midget – Win plus bonus point and hat’s off salute for effort.

    That’s no Stag, it’s a Spitfire!

Honda S800 probably fits the bill as what we traditionally consider to be a classic car. But early Celicas and Skylines are well regarded too. The Z cars also.

    Address in my profile (probably).

They would work with a Rohloff (theoretically), but not Alfine.
I’d go 135 offset and it’ll all just work 🙂

    SidewaysTim

Some frames have 135 dropouts and require an offset wheel, but they’re easy enough to build. If the frame has 170mm dropouts, then you can’t fit a Rohloff or Alfine without an adapter of some sort. I’ve only ever seen Salsa 170-135 adapters, no idea if they work well or not.

I’ll be getting frames, hangers, forks and probably hubs. No idea of prices yet until stuff lands and I can do the sums. I’ll chuck ’em on the website once I have prices.

Druid, Surly have addressed the issue and the production Krampus has a lot more clearance than the samples you might have seen.

Those little nippers are the ACME snaps I mentioned. Work well, but can be a bastard to set and place without going off. Easier to screw them down and them set.

These are the traps I’ve had best success with http://www.discountedpetproducts.net/HAVAHART_TRAP_SQURL___16X6X6-UKP108124.html but you do have to dispatch the beasties then. Big gloves are the order of the day and don’t try shooting them unless you have a fairly powerful gun and don’t mind blood.

Large poo is rats. Get a few different traps (they’re clever, see). Wear gloves all the time you’re handling the traps and if they’re new, leave ’em outside for a few days to weather.

The newer traps are easier to set and place, but the old style ACME snap ones work really well (gloves mask the smell of human and protect your fingers a bit.

Put the traps along runs if possible, not always easy or obvious to see them though. Close to the wall is good. Bait them with different stuff, peanut butter works well as it’s sticky and they can’t flick it off the trap easily.

They will try to chew their way out of a live trap, so you’ll hear them if you catch one. If a snap trap doesn’t kill them, they’ll make a hell of a racket too.

Best way to kill them in a live trap is drowning apparently. Fill a bin with water and chuck it in for 20 minutes.

Oh and bait a few traps but don’t set them – let the rats get comfortable around the traps for a few days before you start killing them. Don’t think that once you’ve caught two you’ve got them all – they travel in groups. Expanding foam is a good idea as they will chew through it in moments, but then at least you can see where they get in and out. Block all holes properly with concrete once you’re happy the traps are done an there’s been no activity for a week or so.

I’ve got 100mm Isis and square taper BB’s in stock (Phil Wood for the square, so plenty spendy!).

The 2013 Pugsleys have just landed in a fetching shade of yellow. Good starting point ,as they just work.

Here’s mine – it tends to get a bit dirty and stay that way…

We have a 16″ demo bike too, so if anyone is fat curious, come and have a ride. Check first though as we’re selling the 16″ off and just keeping the 18″ for now.

Keep most tyres and rims in stock too, along with hubs and building many wheels so if you want a chat about wheels or whatever gis a shout.
