The large Chumba’s only got a 24″ top tube, which is fairly short (if it’s a horizontal measurement). Plus the XCL is more the sort of travel I’m after.

No worries, though the XCL and VF2 have the same amount of travel.

Supposing I had had a Chumba and emailed you pictures of the crack on Sunday night, would you have got a replacement frame to me in time to build it up and race it at Bristol the following weekend ?[\quote]

I would hope so! I always have a few of each size in stock so can turn frames around quickly.

If you buy a Chumba hx2 and it breaks I’ll either replace it, or give you a refund. I don’t think you will break it though.

Canfield Nimble 9. I’ve got a Yelli Screamy and it’s ace. Si (Progressive) not bringing in the N9 though

I ‘might’ be open to change my mind if enough people show interest to make it viable.

That pic of the Canfield Nimble 9 doesnt do it justice.

I can and do use both Thomson and Hope and actually prefer Hope stuff. Its just as good quality, a little cheaper and i prefer the seat clamp on the Hope seat post.

Even the official race marshal/safety guy was struggling to slow folks down.

Not a troll, but are people really too daft not to ride the course and suss things out and within their ability? Fancy having to tell people to slow down and not fall off in a MTB race 🙂

Am I wrong to think that CCDB on 140mm bike would be a bit niche ? Was thinking about it long time ago … at least it would be an improvement over Float R. Thought CCDB looks just about right on 160mm bikes but 140mm surely it pushes it?

not wrong at all. Why have your frame/bike hamstrung by poor shocks? I really don’t subscribe to the thought a good coil is over kill for any bike. Your bike either has a good shock on it or it doesn’t. the extra pound of weight is far out weighed by the quality of a good rear shock.
