    Not sure of exact weight on the Chumba HX1 but it is around 4lb for a medium, will weigh one if you want?

    tlr, i have used 2.35 on 819's and found them to be OK, they would roll of the rim a bit if using really low pressures, but most wide tyres are the same on 819's.

    if it is frame only you are after, the Chumba XCL is good for big blokes. Check out the MTBR Chumba forum, many big blokes over there have XCL’s and are very happy with them.

    TLR, yes it is a VF2, can be built to around 27lb but with good tough kit. Has Dipper built his up yet? Have you seen his F5 yet, beast or what! 🙂

    Some good feedback and idea’s, i know Chumba have been working on a revised link for the XCL (see below) which will change the HA to 66.5 and lower the BB by 1/4″ from 13.5″, pretty simple really.

    The only issue i can see with a slacker HA is surely you must have to ride the front end more aggressively to keep from washing out? Fine if thats your style i suppose.
