Basically at the moment if you have no assets to put up as security for a loan/finance/business funding the bank will offer you the princly some of didly squat.
You can have the best business plan in the world all the finacial projections for every type of scenario but the bank wont give you the money unless they have a security on you that they can take if the loan goes sour.
*speaking from experience in dealing with my own business and banks

I am afraid this is it. Unless you know someone with money, you don’t have much chance. My old mans business has new orders to the tune of half a million that need financing short term, the banks, private equity etc all said “No” without securty on the whole amount.

It is very frustrating that the banks are being like this, it was not this sort of lending that should have been stopped/cut and was never a problem in the first place.

The holeshot is 3.4lb rated for 140s

I have been getting some ride time on my Ti Holeshot recently, my first HT for a long time. I was a little worried about going back to HT, but this thing is brilliant, I just don’t miss the FS and am just as fast on this bike.

I’ll update with some pic’s when i get the chance, if anyone wants to see?

    yeti, pah! 🙂

I am quite surprised how big it ‘doesn’t’ look for a large 26er frame.

    I had a Fox 32 150mm float on a VF2 and it worked well.

Ivan posted a review of his new HX1, think he said he found it more forgiving than the last HX1 if that helps.

Did they ever produce the new link mentioned in the ST review?

No, There wasn’t enough demand for it. IMO the review was a bit odd, the geo of a VF2 is very very similar to other more obvious choices.

    Yep – aluminium never fails

Though i think the picture you show is down to an installation/design fail rather than material choice?

dear o dear, if i want to carry more water than is scientifically proven to be needed and a few bits of kit in my pack then i don’t care what anyone thinks, it’s what works for me.

I fill my bladder up, grab the pack off the hook in the shed and off i go, simple and easy.

What i am trying to say is that the frames were designed to have long top tubes, slack HA and a steep ST. By sizing ‘down’ you are in effect negating the original design intention of the long TT, so if you would normally ride an 18″ ST, with say a 23″ TT i would stick with the seat tube size rather than pick by TT length as most would normally do, if that makes sense?

Not that it really matters, pick what works for you, im just rambling 🙂

Is not sizing down kind of defeating the point of the radical geometry?

One thing for sure, CRC want a much bigger margin from their suppliers than a lbs, in my experience anyway.

jeez, ernie you need to chill out man, talk about hyper analysing a few words.

From reading a few of your posts it is not hard to see how you ‘might’ come across as presumptuous about what Str was saying.
