How about this for £899 and go self build? You could probably get yourself all the bits for £600 or so…

The latest holeshot has ISCG tabs with a semi integrated HT.

The normal alu holeshot was out a long time before the dialled bikes alpine, and was in fact probably the original hardcore HT 🙂

Thankfully Chris was wearing a helmet and his spine was left untouched or things could have been even worse than they already are

    TJ, you reading this 🙂

    Get well soon Chris.

We could build a Chumba HX2 for 2K. Email me at info@progressive-bikes.co.uk for a full spec.

Surely that is what all pedals get subjected too.

I can honestly say that any pedal would have died the way that they used and treated the Canfields, I don’t know of any pedals that would have been in good condition after that amount of abuse.

For info the pedals are now available in black or white

New website is nearly finished, but atm you can’t buy directly on the website as I’m waiting for some techy stuff to be finished.

I really like the look of the Chumba HX2 too… If the price is right (cos RRP seems a bit steep iirc) then perhaps give one a try.

£399, not bad I thought. When people see the new hx2 frames in the flesh they are usually very impressed with the quality 🙂

Do they all have the bent top tube/seatpost brace or is it just the small?

All except the small on the HX1.

How’s tyre clearance with the new frame, could I run WTBs Dissents? If so I think I’ve found my next enduro frame.

Never tried those tyres, but i have seen the large Maxxis ardents on the frame with no problems.

We are doing a Chumba HX2 with 2011 32 F29 120 RLC FIT WHITE 15QR 1.5 TAPER for £1050, or £1099 with Hope taper Headset fitted.

    Sorry about the rubbish pic.

The black frame is an XS so has no room for the hydro formed tt.

The plates are designed to be removed as there are different plates for air or coil shocks.

Si, why not the chumba evo 2? Where is it? Is there an ETA yet? Has it been canned?

First frames are just rolling of the production line.

Yeah I cannot see how the rear suspension works on that one, and it doesn’t look very slack..

It is slacker than most of what’s been posted on here, 66.5 at 140mm 36’s. It was also tongue in cheek..

Jedi, the Progressive Bikes domain is being moved so email is down at the mo.

The SDH review was odd, no pedal could have survived what they did with the pedals i sent them for test, they were knackered and abused.

Ask Matt from STW what he thinks to the Crampons, he has had a set of ours for a long while now 🙂

Brodie Holeshot looks fab, can it be run with 150/160 forks?

It can, but with a 66.5 HA with 140mm forks doesnt really need 160mm imo.

I have Float 36’s reduced to 140mm on mine.

err, I think thought the Dialled Morning Glory and Kobe Ti came out a while before the holeshot Ti Si…

Nope, Paul brodie designed the original Holeshot eons ago. The first holeshot was 1999, but Paul Brodie had made tougher HT’s quite some time before that. He is also credited with introducing the sloping top tube when at Rocky Mountain bikes.

Never known the EBB to slip, in fact quite the opposite unless you grease them well.

The built up pic is a large, its one of the guys on this forums bike.

Three fish, don’t believe all you read about Alan, he is not all that bad, but i guess you have made your own mind up.

The HT on the HX1 is a tapered zero stack type. Frame comes with an EBB. HA is 68 with a 140mm fork. More geo info can be seen here http://www.progressive-bikes.co.uk/hx1.html

Axle is a standard 135mm QR with a nice neat replaceable drop out that looks clean when removed for for running single speed. Colours are ano black, ano silver and painted white. All your money will come to me 🙂
