I have the echo dot only and its only correct to the sonos via wi-fi. Only got it yesterday. When I first asked it to play music it said it was using Amazon (I have prime), then I authorised Spotify and made it he preference. So I’m sure when i ask for something its now using Spotify.

Hi. Spotify is supported, you just need to authorise it on the Alexa App. You can then make it the default music service.

Well update. I emailed them again a template email I found saying that they have to sell. They have sent me a questionnaire to fill in to decide on a price. They have also asked for £125 for the pleasure. This will be knocked off the price if we go ahead. Deciding what to do as just been on holiday and money tight!

Greenhill sheffield. Recently asked to buy the lease and told they arent looking to sell at the moment!
We were going to get an extension built but didn’t in the end, a next I’d be asking how much for permissions. We are changing the roof on the conservatory to one of those fake jobbies, just hoping they don’t find out!

was it like a cake lollipop. Cake crumbs in the middle and chocolate round the outside?

Looks like chimney top is there, so it will mean going in the attic and seeing where it goes. In our last house it was only in the attic and supported on a couple of blanks!
Get the self to Greenhill much better! Plus they are building a new retail park just the other-side of the ring road there.

arrgh need a campsite (tent) with pool 12-19 August, most of these are fully booked or you just turn up (not sure I can risk this with kids and wife in tow after a 9hr drive!!!!)
Any more excellent suggestions to save my sanity, also must have a pool (have I mentioned the pool).

Went for the Makita HS7601J in the end and a speed square. Thanks for all the advice.
First jobs are kitchen plinths and upstands. As original fitter wasn’t great so don’t really want to get him back to do these.

Just had quotes in Sheffield. £1400 for architect plans and building regs. Three quotes £26k, £34k and £39k. This was to knock down a conservatory and replace with an extension and mess with an internal wall and for a downstairs loo. Was a 4m x 3.5m extension. Plus then we would have needed flooring and decorating. We have gone instead with a fake roof on the conservatory. Architect was saying it should be about £21k, he he was a bit out!

Had another quote from SWC £11500 including all new frames and a equinox supalite roof. The side glass will be pilkington K S glass. So I think we have a winner. Also its a company I’ve dealt with before so a bit a happier with that price!! By the way the same but with a glass roof was £9000, so not a great deal in it.

thanks everyone. The architect that drew up the plans if going to speak to one of the builders again, to do us a quote for doing just the extension, without all the extra bits and without taking down the original house wall and putting in a support. We have another local company quoting as well for the equinox system.

This was their response “Please be advised that our client Fairhold Holdings (2006) Houses Ltd is not currently looking to dispose of their Freehold interest at this moment in time. We are therefore unable to provide you with any prices for the same.

Kindly accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.”

In Sheffield as well, ours is held by e&m estates or something like that.£6 a year. Lived there about 5 years. We are hoping to get an extension built so i contacted them to see if we could buy the freehold, as we would have to pay them for permission to build anyway. They came back and said they aren’t looking to sell at the moment! Haven’t? pushed it any further…. Let me know how you get on.

Correct me if I’m wrong but the light that they have seen from these planets is already 40 years old. So what they have seen is what these planets were doing 40 years ago. So they may already have been sucked into a blackhole!!!

Its crazy really when you think about it. Its like looking back in time.

The good thing with audax is that you don’t have to stop long, you can just pop in get your card stamped and head for the next control and if you are knackered you can stop for a three course lunch!

Do some Audax rides Audax Website[/url] If you are relatively fit I’d start with a few 200km rides. They usually have cafe stops every 50km or so.

Dynamo front hub into a cache battery? You are going to get a much better charge, plus you can run lights if required and not worry about charging them.
