Nivida shield. Had the original since it came out 7 yrs or so ago. Still gets updates, still works as well if not better than when we first got it.

Have I made a massive mistake booking Amsterdam first week of April. When booking the flights last week I assumed everyone was open for business now. Looks like in the Netherlands, they class the UK as non-EU and very high risk. So unless I’m reading the mass of confusing info wrong. We can only go if we have a good reason (Holiday isn’t!!) or full vaccinated (we are) and take a rapid flow test 24hrs before. Am I reading this right…

So if I was in a vacuum it’s around 320mph..
Sorry yes the drag of 0.6 was copied from a website, I have no idea what it means so probably a red herring.

@grim168 @stumpy01 circulon pans have a lifetime warranty. Just email them a picture of the bottom of the pan and a picture of the damage and they will send you a replacement. Email address is
    customersupport at meyeruk dot com

My parents did this two weeks ago and even though they have stopped making circulon they gave them a choice of pan to pick. They received them last week!

Edit: Meyer ask you to dispose of the damaged pan, so you don’t post them back.

    Morning all

Quite swollen and painful yesterday so we went to the hospital and after 6 hours in A&E last night (Got back at 1am) – Two broken fingers, nail drained, tetanus booster and anti-biotics.
Spoke to the headmaster yesterday and he had been round most of the classes telling kids not to do it and it was recorded as an incident and we got a bump note, so they will be inspecting the covers. Hopefully a bit of a wake up call for the school.

We just need to wait for a kid to get run over next before they sort out the traffic and pavement parking at drop off and pick up.

    @pieface
yes that will be the school!

It sounds like a group of kids managed to lift it slightly and our kid was the last to let go!! Obviously messing with drain covers isn’t wasn’t one of the many things we thought to warn him about as we walk to school everyday, but I’m sure he won’t do it again as he is normally the sensible one.

Yes this was the point. Should the drain cover be secured to stop lifting. I appreciate that they will need to lift it for maintenance but surely the person doing this would have some tools available to them!!

Friday night film will be IT!

Google maps is free easy and simple. Works on Android and Apple. We use it for our 11yr old and grand parents! Works everywhere there is a phone signal including abroad.

We had the same issue of the vent going through a small open window. In the end I unscrewed the opening part and took it to a double glazing company. They replaced the glass with a off cut from a upvc door panel. I then just got a 100mm circle in the middle and screwed back in to the opening mechanism. Fed through the pipe and screwed on a vent cover. Can’t remember the cost but really cheap.

Sounds like we are out there licking hand rails! Just to add that both parents are vac’d up and we are really careful with what we do and wear masks when out, but we have one son at primary and one at secondary!!

Quick question as lots of info available but not clear. We had COVID exactly 2 months ago tested positive after PCR. Only person in the house not to test positive at all was son. Monday I start with a bad cold, Tuesday son starts with cold. On Wednesday night he has a temp so we get a PCR on Thursday, which came back positive this morning. So have we made a mistake getting a PCR test for ourselves this morning or have we done the safe thing? Cause it says we could test positive for up to 3 months. So the risk is we test positive and have to isolate for another 10 days but that is because of COVID 2 months ago,not a reinfection. I guess it could be a just be a cold and son is testing positive because he also had it two months ago but never tested positive until now.

No idea of the cost (I’m guessing lots) but what about a Zipp tap? Boiling water, filtered cold and sparkling water all from the same tap.

If you have a normal camera you maybe able to get this working as a webcam. I’ve managed getting my Sony rx100 working as one. You can also use some free software to do overlays ect….

Not what you asked for but what about these https://towwhee.com/
Would remove the wobble between the both of you and still connected. Obviously a bit more of a gap, but also a bit more freedom to pick the right path over stones et?>

We got a Rab emergency shelter for 4 people ( we are 2 adults and 2 kids). Obviously great in an emergency but also really good to have lunch in when it is cold, wet or windy while out on a walk. Plus they love it!

Not what you want but: Sharpies in as many colours as you can. We have two boys and yes sharpies are permanent markers but we have never had any mishaps! They love them, the original pack of pens we got about 3 years ago when they were 7 and 5yrs old and they are still going strong and don’t need sharpening every 5 minutes because the lead is broken in the pencils due to been dropped 1000 times… Also got the adult colouring books.
We are now “investing” in POSCA paint pens this christmas.

I’ve been using it a little over the last week as it is free for the first month. Not overly impressed but I guess it is heavily dependant on you having a really solid internet connection (Ours is 36mb)
    Graphics aren’t great
I’ve had the stadia controlled disconnect a couple of times which means you have to quit to connect again.
Only played single player (Sniper Elite ?), as I’m worried that multiplayer may just be really bad.
Even on single player it does stutter and jump every so often.
    Load times are good though.

We also have an xbox and it is just easier and works 99% of the time.

that’s correct. But I have 2 full ink cartridges that are now useless and going to get binned rather than used. I paid for the subscription to print so many pages a month. I didn’t print enough, so I’ve got print cartridges left over. So yes I have paid for them, so expect to be able to use them at the end, so not to waste the resources and energy used to manufacture and post from France!

Just a reminder that when you cancel your instant ink subscription, all the cartridges in the printer and the full ones ready to go in stop working, as HP block them!

Just to add, that if you do qualify and have the family account, each account can request the free stadia stuff (up to 6) as long as the accounts were already created before the 6th November. I’ve got two sets coming as I’ve two gmail accounts.

Just following up on this to see how people are going. My shock came when I realised I was 50lbs heavier than when I did the TCR in 2015 and my 8 year old weights 58lbs! 10lbs added during the first 6 months of lock down. So though I’d give this a go. 8 months ago id given up full fat coke and switched to pepsi max and obviously this wasn’t helping. So the first week of fast800 was hard, getting rid of the sugar and caffeine out of your body. Since the middle of week 2 it’s not been too bad and it is surprising what you can eat for 800 calories. I’m having 200 cal breakfast at 10am, 300 cals at lunch and 300 cals at dinner before 6pm. And loads of water…. So far in 21 days I’ve lost 20lbs. So happy with that. Working from home has made this easier, as it is easy to hide the hangry and temptations.

I live around the corner from that house in greenhill. While the photo looks nice. It is basically on a traffic Island, with a council estate behind. There is also no front garden, and massive front windows so you are going to struggle for any privacy… We have been in greenhill 8 years now.

I’m the same when the young ones are on the road, they are always in front so I can give (shout) instructions. I’ll always cycle further out into the road, than either of them are, so the car coming behind has to give a wide berth or I get hit first!! Speeds and impatience has been increasing recently…

They will claim latter, and that the car was full of people now needing compensation. As you can not clearly state that it was just one or two people.

I’ve a M3 LR with towbar. Supposedly 55kg weight limit for bike and racks on the back. If you are careful with packing you can get loads of stuff in.
