That info is a tad too late, flatbak as in true mtb rider fiddling mode. I have now removed the case and found the fuse, 10w 250v Maplins here I come.

Brown sauce is good but was attempting a specialty known as cheesy beans :P

For me …had mine since late 05 fancied something new and different. Looked at the new spot but aesthetically didn’t do it for me (I know shouldn’t matter)

Have ordered something else with the DW system instead.

But as has been said so many times it is such a great bike, thought about re-building it again but no it’s going.

I have used Hope floating rotors with avid calipers before with no problems. 160 calipers and 160 rotors

But have a slightly different question I am trying to answer at the moment, about rotor size.

Going to buy some Avid Elixir

My question is – the front Avid rotor is 185mm and I want to run the Hope which is 183mm.

Will the 2mm worth of less braking surface make that much difference or am i missing something else ?

    Thanks

All good advice keep it coming. How much more power does the Elixir give over the Juicys ?

No youre right it was just me thinking that they would be shaped on the caliper side or something, making them specific to each brand.

Just looking at it now on Chainreaction and it states to suit Hayes Avid calipers etc etc.

Will do and yes I had the turkey warble and after trying everything, it was MTBR that led me to changing rotors. Cured it.

So yes good thinking.. so am I right in thinking the Hope adapter will fit the Avid caliper or am I just being daft !

    Cheers

I have run 160 Hope floating and non floating saw rotors with juicy 7 & ultimate calipers with no issues. In fact way better than with the Avid rotors.

Now going up a size at the front

Im in the same boat the Hope is 183mm and the Avid adapter takes the caliper to 185mm.

Im banking on it not being an issue as have purchased the new rotor and the adapter.

Watch somebody come along and shatter that now !!

    Cheers

Ive got juicy 7’s and ultimates and like them a lot. The warbling sound you hear is a common issue with them. Had it on both of mine an cured it by running Hope rotors.

If the Navara is the latest ie the D40 and dependant on the model. It could have what are called the c channels running down the sides and the bulkhead. If this is the case these accept attachments, and its possible to get 2 cross bars like roof rails which slot in. You can then clamp cycle carries to these exactly as you would on a car roof. The vehicle is also designed to run with its tailgate down so overhang is not a problem.
    Hope that helps.

As said there are some bargains to be had. Our vehicles coming back of contract are making cap and above interesting. Dealers are reporting a shortage of stock ! So are paying premiums we were selling around 300 per day last month

Hi soops based in Bradford. So the above is a fitted price doesn’t sound as bad as I was imagining. Is that a combi ?

The current boiler which was around 15yrs old is linked to a cylinder in the airing cupboard does this have a bearing would that become redundant ?

There is also a tank in the loft.

    Cheers
