I have the Alp X SO and it’s brilliant got mine for just over a £100 by shopping round.
Very versatile by adjusting layering underneath and looms like it will last a long time.
owninga I had some items anodised by Steve @ Acorn less than one month ago . The was on the back of him doing some previous work for me.
Communicated with him via the googlemail email add above no problems at all.
Very strange
You can make quite a good one from a A4 sheet of Pace carbon armour , have one on my bike cut to whatever size you fancy. Looks good and a bit thicker than heli tape
Got the Craft jersey excellent bit of kit.
But have just purchased a Rab Vapour Rise stretch top serves as base or mid hence very versatile.
Pricey but a superb bit of kit
Does anybody know if the above linked light would fit a Joystick mount as I think they fit up to 25mm. The above light mentions body @ 25mm.
Looking at the exposure mount as fitting to a Urge helmet so don’t think the blocks would work
Forks now swapped to Talas 110/140. Does everything very very well as said drop it to 110 for super steep climbs, or when running at short travel at the rear for instant short travel bike.
Had our first free of this very forum sadly lost her to a car RIP Lilly
Then went onto get another
A female (marble) house name Fish. Amazing cats and as said quite dog like fetch carry etc. Can go from being very clever to daft as a brush and is now making her self known with all the othe local cats ! But the range and volume of noise it can create is unreal !
Haglofs Endo Active shell here washed and proofed quite a few times now works perfectly.
In fact its that good breathability wise can nearly wear it every day as a knocking about in hoodie.
Changed a little from the shots
Now has shorter stem / black latest XT brakes / Easton Haven bars
Took an age to remove original soul decals along with rim decals etc
Easy to do no bleed req but a bolt and small grub screw to remove to release the lever.
Do the new levers have the adjuster screws ?
If so only above to do
If not you have to remove a small circlip at the back of each of the existing screws to release them from the lever.
Hope that helps
Hi
Right back at you foxman
I post my add and respond to you via email with pictures.
I wait ………..nothing
I re-post the add again you respond again so I go back to you again. Once again…… nothing ? I then get another seller ready to go what do I do pop round and serve it to you with a brew and cake ?
Did my very best to sell it to you via the forum and private email am I wrong ?
Edit I too have a family and dont sit at the PC but as said if you had said busy at mo will pay Sunday night etc then it would have been yours
Have you tried centralising the pistons not just the calliper ?
You will find a vid on the Hope site, but basically you put something behind the backing on one set of pads, and whilst squeezing the lever push that pad towards the opposing piston / pads. Then reverse the procedure for the other side, you will see the pistons move out to meet the back of the pad.
I had just as your describing then centralised/equalised the pistons and they were perfect and nice and solid at the lever.
Do this after centralising g the caliper
Hope that helps
Cheers
Thanks tumnurkoz but its the non drive side. Will have a pull apart and see if I can extract some more life, if not as said will get some new ones.
Cheers
I’ve got the long fingered ones and they are superb , do what they say in fact nearly sticky !
Very well made but come up very small I’m a L in Fox Endura etc – so ordered a XL based on there sizing.. Anyway ended up with XXL which fit great.
Oh and Amazon were the cheapest.
Hope that helps
Just fitted one to the front at the weekend replacing a RQ 2.2 which I had F&R as said similar width but not as tall as the RQ.
Still have RQ on rear the Baron was superb at weekend just biting that bit more than the RQ.
Taking nothing away from the RQ’s as also brilliant.
Tyres on Flows and in Chilli flavour
I have a Gore Alp X SO jacket which will do all that plus with the right/extra layers underneath will go through winter. Will also go some way to replacing a full blown waterproof shell, as very water resistant/proof.
Expensive but lots of jackets in one
