ison stock them all lengths – only supplier i know that does – many good shops will have an ‘ison’ account, although they may have to built an order to get carriage, not much demand for the wierdness they supply.

EDIT: kids are made of stern stuff and will recover from pretty much any much mental trauma – as has been said several times now – help yourself first, and the littl’uns after (just like you were in a plane crash!).

well that’s your story – i was 7 when my mum’s cheating broke up the family and i went off the rails – compleatly! was as good as gold before that – everyone is different – but DO have relationship counciling, not necessarily to get back together, but so that you can both have some advice on how to do what may be inevitable in a way that it appropriate for the kids.

Why do the quote tabs only appear sometimes? anyway:

“”Are they basing their dismissal on you surfing “sick” sites or for surfing “unauthorised” sites? If it’s the latter then surfing mleh in work time on a work machine may in itself be enough grounds for dismissal. Sorry to point this out I dont want to sound unsympathetic””

i’d of thought that some verbal – written warnings would be common practice if it were grounds for dismissal.

wishing you the best of luck Zed – this is an awful state of affairs i hope you come out the other side ok.

    “i’ve got a headache”
“the floor is not a waldrobe”
“If you think your putting ‘that’ in there think again”
“have you got the number for ‘my’ solicitor”

    everyday phrases in our house.

bit hard to kick her out if you have kids – and they are at school age and she’s the one that looks after them (for example) – relationship counciler would be my first step – as at least if nothing resolved it lays the basis for solicitors etc, the kids are the most important thing here, none of this is their fault and what ever happans you are the parents, where as you may go through 2 or 3 wives/husbands etc….. Even if the kids are young they pick up on this stuff and you have to try not to screw them up.

‘Cinnamon toast crunch’ from Nesle – cinnamon Grahams are over cooked and don’t have the delicious melt in the mouthness of the mighty crunch. I last saw them some years ago up north a while after i saw them down south – i stocked up but scoffed them all within the week.

How old are the rims – important question i reckon as tubs are awesome on some nice carbon rims – but if you put on some newer wheels (yours are probably 36h heavy alloy if 1970’s) or rims and some good modern clinchers and you’ll probably be happier – i gave up on tubs – useless for triathlons unless you have support – and too much of a pain for everyday riding, you feel all cool with your retro bike and kit cruising down to the cafe etc – all ruined by the look of 2 tubs stuffed in your back pocket!

I used to use a hamex sleepy, my boy was also quite heavy, so the bracket bumped on the wheel if you went over bumps and if you put it higher it upset the balance of the bike – i wouldn’t go for the LCT option myself – neverliked the idea, and always petrified of the kid flying over the bars in an accident, and you would probably go quick with him on it – i ended up getting a trailer which he loves – he can ride now, but still got the trailer, it’s great!

trouble is it’s symbol of his remaining independance, as it is for youngsters – so any attempt to remove this will be hard for him to take. passing the buck to the GP might be the only option rather than trying to reason it with him financially – we were in a similar situation with my gramdparents many moons ago – now they are 6 foot under and my mums the new danger on the roads. I’m afraid there are no easy options – in his mind he’s probably thinking he’s just being careful?!?!?

Brant – it certainly has a ‘bike park’ feel to it, i think if you are used to the more natural stuff, and been riding a while pre bike park it is an odd experience, many friends of mine that have been riding only the man made trails hate places like quantocks etc – and can’t see why i’d go there – i think much of it’s a mindset as much as the facilities/trails etc.

Does anyone know how the pelvis becomes misaligned and the signs of this – i think mine might well be from what i’ve read here – who would be the best type of person to be examined by to check for this?

my symptoms are: pain in hip (soft tissue) – hip bones asymetric to extent you can see/feel it when walking and pain in same knee which i assumed was a patella alignment issue.

background to this might be old injury where femur was pinned. (physio said that i had scar tissue around hip joint)

    sorry to hijack the thread.

Oddly those casio’s were 7.95 when i was 10! they are still 7.95. They are horrible thou, and make your wrist smell. I just couldn’t were one now they just look crap – not that i’m particularly a watch snob, or a clothes snob, but i prefer the look of nice cut jeans in nice denim rather than some 8 quid ones from ASDA that kinda look like they are made of carboard and have fluffy white stuff on them – i think such an outfit makes you look like you’ve just been released from prison and been given 25 quid to dress yourself.
