What did you think of Horne & Cordens new show ? I loved Gavin & Stacey like most other folk but that show was just gash.IMO of course.

Come to think of it johnhoo I give my local council charity about £90 per month for this thing they speak of as “council tax”.I feel all warm inside knowing that its going to such a worthy cause.

08 Trance here…..loves it.Rode a friends XTC 1 before I got the Trance & loved that too so when the Trance came up at a bargaintastic price I had to get it.Don’t think theres much 08 stock around now & certainly not for the steal I got mine for (& off someone famous aswell… )

We got to the monkey on Sunday & then everything went all blurry & weird music started playing & we ended up back in the car park.I don’t think it exists…..

I recieved a “funny” look from an OAP who I stopped for at a Zebra crossing today with it blasting out with the window down !.That’s good enough for me ! First listen, hmmmmmm,I dont know about it being as good as MFTGJ but time will tell,I have so many memories associated with that album – flashback central

Mistercrud – I am not disputing Mr Dodd & Co’s ability to throw a bike about or indeed MBUK’s place in the scene here in the UK.I used to buy it back then when I was 14 & on my Muddy Fox Courier. The point I perhaps should have said, like kennyp has, that I am not their target market so this is why the mag probably annoys me.The topic is open for discussion & as such everyone can air their opinions, not that any of it matters really.
Appreciate your point but I won’t feel “dressed down” by it,if that’s ok.

The stuff looks ok,apart from when its hanging off those twunts in MBUK

Nah it’s cool Tinsy dunna worry mate :D
I have some U Turn Recons going on my Trance later on – they have 80mm/100mm/115mm & 130mm adjustments so should be all the travel I will ever need. Will run them at 115mm most of the time but can wind them out for trips to Wales & what not 8)

MBUK & What Mountain Bike do more often than not share the same content don’t they ? Given that they are the same publishers,Bike Radar etc etc….
Agree with the comments above – MBUK can be hilarious.Colour co ordinated photo shoots with bike & rider in matchin gear.Give me a break.I think it must be my age.Doddy & co mincing about in lime green shorts its just so funny. It’s like looking at photos of McFly on bikes !!!
MBR doesn’t seem as bad & a little more “mature” than MBUK but they do seem month on month to churn out the same old carp.I like how STW have a “theme” each issue with articles based around that.

:DLOL @ richc – will have to remember that one….
Surely its only a matter of time until we see a “Which Tyres For The Dyfi” Thread ? Personally,I will be riding on the ones that are always on my bike as
    A) I am too lazy to change them
    B) They are the tyres that I have ridden all around there on before

Might run some DH tubes though so I don’t have to faff with punctures !!! Well,it’s my theory anyhoo.

Hey Chapa – yeah I did but being a serial worry monger I thought I would trawl for some more opinions – mine will be @ 130mm max.I’m not into launching myself off things (intentionally that is… ) so hopefully I will be ok.As others have said the longer travel actually has made a big positive difference to the way the bike rides.Having the U Turn just means more adjustability for me,as it is my only bike for all sorts of riding (including enduros etc when i can wind them down to 100mm).

    Hi James
Cheers – its a 2008 Trance. The forks I have got hold of can be run at 80,100 or 130mm so at least I can set them to 100mm,they are still an upgrade over my old ones – I think there are others on here that are running longer travel forks on their Trances but they dont seem to be around at the minute.Does the fact it is a 2008 make any difference ?I know the issues around the travel etc & warranties as you mentioned above with the cotics.I have seen loads with revs & pikes on @ 140mm,infact a friend just got a new soul with 140mm revs on there, which is how it was built up in the shop.
