Here’s the link to the ride we did in the Clwyds,which is 15 mins from Llandegla.If you do this at least it makes a day of it & makes the drive more worthwhile.

Hmmmmmmmm – Llandegla threads always get a mixed response on here !

IMO (& it is only IMO) – I like it & have always had fun there.There is v little (basically no) climbing though (with the exception of a very short switchback style climb).I have travelled there from a similar distance to you (Bridgnorth) & always found it worthwhile.You could link it up with a ride round the Clwyds from the fattyres mountain bike website which I did last time,which was excellent & 15 mins from the trail centre.
Other thing is weekends are mentally busy with lots of mincers,its a different place in the week.

I had an aggressor xc2 & although a little heavy it was a great bike.I personally found the aurigas a bit of a pain in the arris but I think they had been poorly set up from the get go tbh.You could do a hell of a lot worse for £400 – at least its a “proper” bike with proper geometry etc & will not fall to bits the first time it goes off road.

quality day out….I sure those sheep trails were just contour lines on the OS map they were that narrow ! nice off camber stuff there.Anyone spot the sheep carcass ? I think it was planted for effect !
In places I actually heard the sound of my tyres buzzing – something I have not heard for a very long time.Been out twice today on the bike aswell – the feeling in my nads is just about coming back !
