Selling a bike that has been run with forks waaaay over the manufacturers specs is out of order IMO.Then saying “why should I care” is even more out of order.I’m beginning to feel like my dad & almost feel a “the youth of today” type statement coming on so I am going to resist.Luckily,most members on here read the posts in the classifieds & have reasonable memories so I am hoping they would give the frame a very wide berth.

Just changed the wheels on my trance to crossrides – they are going to get their first outing @ the dyfi this weekend.I already like the look of them & the nice clicky freewheel 😀 – they seem great value,especially when found over there >>>>>>>>>>>> for a good price.Cheers Rich ! 😉

I know its not quite the same thing Rich but the Dyfi “rules” info on their website mentions this.I’m not suggesting that yer mrs is under 16 either ! but it shows they take things seriously.

What about under 16’s? – We have safety obligations to our insurers, and Forest Enterprise, this means that under16’s can not take part in the event. That includes riding ‘unofficially’ with a parent but without a number.

I owned some for around a year – reasonably heavy but tough enough & stayed true.Doubt you would win any races on them but for general mincing,absolutely fine.

I have just spoken to one of my customers who is putting pandemic procedures into place for their office – do to with visitors,people coming & going etc….BBC site says we are at level 5,level 6 is when they stop the movement of people from country to country etc etc….should we be worried yet ?

EVENT TIMETABLE

Saturday 3rd May:

Sign on and collect rider numbers from the event HQ in the field behind the main car park at SY20 8DZ, from 12.00.

Cafe Seren will be open from late afternoon, serving food and drinks, everything from a slice of cake, to a big chilli. The bar will open around 6.00pm, we will have some MTB films showing, and a band from 9.00pm ish. The music, cafe, and bar will shut down at 11.00pm.

Sunday 4th May:

Cafe Seren will be open early, for coffee and breakfast.

Signing on and collection of numbers will be open from 8.00 to 10.00.

10.40am Rider briefing on the start line.

11.00am Event Start.

I’m tempted but have a job interview @ 8.45am the next day that I really should prepare for… (yeah I know 8.45am,WTF !) – a little concerned I may have my legs ripped off & then beaten round the head with them ? whats thee reckon mick ?

I think its a bit of marketing gumpf – mbr had a feature a couple of months back on “marathon” bikes they were taking to roc d’azur – which is 50km.Hardly a “marathon” really when a lot of “enduros” here are 50km.Don’t know what point I am trying to make here….ah yeah,that’s it – its gumpf.HTH.
