What chapaking said – I have a trance with 100mm on the back end,115mm forks up front (recon u turns),nice wide bars (syncros bulk 710mm) & it feels fantastic for me.Is it just me or are short travel trail bikes the new long travel trail bikes ?
Must admit to having looked at the orange st4 more than once.It could be the next bike when the trance goes,but that wont be for a while.

Climachx has my fave descent of all the Welsh trail centres.You'll see what I mean when you get to the bottom.Just watch out for the arrow,again,you'll know what I mean when you get there ! I am friends with a few of the local riders from Towyn & Mach – see if you can clear the rocks & slabs at the beginning of the last descent.

Re your first point,had this prob myself @ Mayhem this year.The creaking was so bad I was heckled at one point with "Mate I'd take that Giant back,it sounds like a Marin!!!" After the fella at the Giant stand taking a look at the bb it was still doing it.Replaced my old shonky spd's when I got home & voila,noise gone.

I always watch it with the kids.It has resulted in 2 things though :

1.My daughter stripping the bark off the conifers in the back garden looking for grubs.She did this with the butter knife.

2.She constantly walks around saying "All this is good for me to eat" over & over again.
