In typical stw fashion, recommend what you ride – I love my pp shan 27.

Still commuting in shorts and t-shirt here, but I do that in all but sub zero temperatures. It’s definitely mild though, if the last few years are to be taken as a trend, well have the proper winter arrive in February and March.

Very good fight so far, which is needed as modern day boxing has been mostly poor.

Aracer, video footage is excellent. Better than my old contour HD that only did 1080p30.

Eken H9, only cheapish one I’ve seen that does proper 1080p60.

I’m 6’1 and bought the xl with a 50mm stem, perfect size but small compared to other manufacturers.

Had this round Llandegla once, was continuously checking the rear wheel but all was fine.

Shan 27 owner here, the bike is fricken awesome. Standard build up, nothing special/awkward to do.

Rides like a downhill bike, still climbs well.

My lev failed today, after its 2nd ride.

Wouldn’t drop, regardless of cable tension. Had no such problems with my previous thomson.

How much larger do people go when moving to an elliptical chain ring, 32t to 34 or 36?

Any problems with chain tension on a single speed with an eccentric BB

Just built a new bike, with everything sram. Nothing came with instructions, from the shifters to forks.

Hermes don’t accept boxes over 120cm, the frame i recently sold was too large for myhermes.

I do post a lot via hermes and never had any problems.

Sounds like you went on the wrong skills course to be honest.

For reference, i’ve been riding for about 10 years and i’m still terrible compared to some people. There will always be someone quicker than you so don’t let that ruin your enjoyment.

Work on one skill at a time, be it foot positioning, looking ahead through the corners, berms, manuals as you cant conquer everything all at once.

Keep working on fitness, at a reasonable pace I will complete Monkey and FTD in around 90 minutes on an average day. Riding with my quicker XC friends I can do it in less.

Thankfully my BB92 popped out with ease (shop fitted incorrect shimano bearing), and I used my headset press to fit the new cups in.

Cheers Adam, will drop you a mail.

Found the ebay ones for a tenner, plus international postage takes them to £15 and the ear socks from Cycle store ate also £10. So £25 for something which should ought to cost a lot less, considering they’re not original and a knock off pair of Oakleys can be picked up for the same amount.

I use Park tyre levers. But I did snap three last week fitting new tyres to new rims, the levers were a good 7 or 8 years old though.

    Need to get some more

    Cheers for the thoughts.

Will stick with my Hope Tech M4’s, they’ve been solid for the last few years and I really like them.

Will pass on the new XT brakes to a friend who’s in need of an upgrade.

Perhaps if OP”s maths was stronger he’d be ‘evenmorecashthandash’
    8 for £4.75 is 59p each
    2 in a pack of 20 for £1 is 50p each
9p cheaper each and you also have 18 other batteries that might fit something (not sure on the ice cream though)

    😀

I’m guessing the tyre is fouling the fork brace.

My old chunky munky 2.4 on revs did the same.

Will hopefully have mine soon so will be able to update you, ordered on the 23rd and still waiting for it to be shipped though. I’ve ordered the bike kit as opposed to the frame only, but they don’t seem to be the quickest of companies out there.
