The egr valve on my astra and zafira was easy to clean/replace. I got one from a very new car in the scrap yard for £15 and 15 minutes work.

Also, read the below link on how to perform diagnostics on vauxhalls without any additional kit.

I’m firmly in the bivvy camp rather than a tent, if the forecast is looking good then I won’t bother with a tarp, though carry it with me as it only weighs 200g.

My complete sleeping set up including tarp, bivvy bad, mat, sleeping quilt weighs in at 1.3kg. I can’t get anywhere near that with a tent and it also costing a lot more money.

Was expecting some horrific squealing banshee, that’s just normal brake noise. Mine do that, front more than rear.

Boys weekender, 120 miles. But of course the ferry is out of action at the moment so a few extra miles to get back to bowness.

I regretfully showed this to my kids many months ago, so now they fight each other to get to the crossing first so they can hold the spinning knob.

And I now know why mine was an Exposure outlet, thing keeps turning off/dimming/flickering after 30 seconds of use. Time for a return.

Deepest sympathies for the gnusmas family, please do take up offers of help from friends, family and STW world as some face to face support helps an awful lot.

Not much, but a small donation made.

Also, looks like a great little commuting light, especially for £16 as i already had a collection of CR123 batteries and charger.

I did indeed pick up in the sale, the lanyard loop however is notable shorter than the lanyard for my joystick which works fits fine.

I’ve used my spare one now, so problem solved. The short one will make a nice addition to my keys to stop me loosing them.

Cheers for your help though, much appreciated.

Unfortunately not, I’ve tried all of the above before posting but the lanyard loop is far too short to even loop around and through once.

Last night, i changed the oil in my rear shocks (four of them) as they were running a bit soft on the stock 25wt oil, gone up to 30 and feeling better and have a spare bottle of 35 just in case. If still no good, change of springs will be required.

Today my new 150A ESC should arrive allowing me to run 6S Lipo’s (running 2 in parallel for balance and run times) which means the car could exceed 80mph given the room and if I can keep all 4 wheels on the ground.

Blew the ESC on my 1/5th Savage last week, running 8s lipo.

Just ordered a new ESC and might drop down to 6s from now on, cars are afteral not supposed to be air bound 99% of the time.

Not really affected by the cold weather, shorts with t-shirt and windproof through the winter. The bear bones winter event will put me to get though.

I’m more than happy with me Etrex 30x, not a bike specific model but does full mapping and has great battery life with 2 rechargeable AA’s (did 3 full days in Wales and batteries were still at 50%).

Compatible with all Garmin adaptors and I also use for for walking/hiking.

Not played cod for a few years but it looks like a bad PS3 game
Not sure what settings are available on consoles, but what’s your point exactly? For MP you usually turn off most gfx settings anyway.
    Foliage – gone
    Grass – gone
    Particle effects – gone
    Motion blur – gone
    Dynamic camera – gone
    Minimap – huge
Most of the things that make a game look pretty also make you worse at the game, and if you are taking the time to notice pretty things you probably aren’t noticing something else that’s actually important.

One of the benefits of console gaming is these settings are usually locked, so its a level playing field for all. With PC, if your playing with high settings hiding in a bush etc, but anyone with Low settings can see you.

Less concerned with how it looks, more concern with how it plays.

I’m a long term Counter Strike play, and also playing PUBG i’m used to terrible graphics haha, however I enjoy the tactical aspect of both games. The buying economy, Eco rounds and anti Eco rounds etc, plus all the different recoil patterns for the guns as well as bullet drop and wind.

COD of old was like shooting a laser beam across the map, too simplistic.

Haven’t played a cod game since the series went down hill after Cod 4,with Activision and treyarch racing each year to get the next iteration out.

How have the recent COD games played, they always seem very shallow.

Love my PP shan for the riding anything from local wood, all day XC or BPW. Sure, it excels more at the Gnar end of things, but still fun on more mundane rides.

I read this thread when it was still on a single page, it then kept me entertained on my early morning trip to London where my opinion was swinging in favour to Ling-OP-Ling-OP like a crazy metronome.

I’ve now made it all the way to the end (well after I’ve read the drivel thats been posted whilst i’m typing this)and I have to say, after lurking/posting on this forum for nearly a decade i’m a little disappointed with the name calling/harassing etc. I think a few people have gotten rather emotional.

On the plus side, there have been some genuinely stand out funny moments (Rickmeisters Hitler video), and for that I’ve made a donation to Air Ambulance because some good has to come from this thread, think I will also buy myself a ‘P’ status after using this website for so long with an Adblocker

5/6 on whilst listening via my HD650’s and Vali amp, incorrectly picked the 320kps Neil Young Track but all of them sound flat and compress due to the recording.

The three sample rates were very noticeable whilst listening at home, but if i’m listening to music on the go I wouldn’t have cared.
