I dreamt that I was ‘road testing’ Frankie and Molly out of the Saturdays with a view to one of them becoming my long-term significant other.

They both performed what the Daily Mail might refer to as a lewd act, but I was lured away by the ginger out of Girls Aloud who promised even lewder acts.

Woke up kicking myself, I should have stuck with Molly…

I should add that I’m around 85kg. If the OP is around 100kg, I’d say the Moment would be by far the better choice.

My Moment has Pace RC41 Fighters which are a fairly low axle to crown height compared to most 150mm forks.

So 140mm Revs would be OK, but I’d advise going a bit longer and taking advantage of those lovely angles.

Mine is built up to around 30lb so they’re not a silly heavy bike.

    That’s with Chris Kings/717s/Ignitors, Saint Triple/XT and Hope M4s.

Came across a good one yesterday, Zsuzsanna. That’s just adding random letters for the sake of it to try and look unique! It’s just paving the way for a lifetime of repeating “No, ‘Z’ for zulu… etc” to incredulous call centre staff.

I had this conversation with an acquaintance that called her child “Daisey”. What is the put on the extra E???

I said that I had a phobia of really large foreheads and if you can’t cover it with one hand, don’t bother messaging me.

I get a constant stream of messages from surprisingly attractive young ladies telling me that they’ve tried, and can indeed cover their forehead with one hand.

I think I just get a perverse pleasure from the thought that women up and down the land are sitting in front of their PCs testing the size of their forehead!

Am I unusual in that I don’t want to meet a lady who rides mountain bikes?
My Tuesday night rides followed by a couple of pints in the pub wouldn’t be quite the same if I had another half in tow.

I’d prefer to meet a nicely toned gym bunny whose hobbies include intimate waxing (herself) and making herself look and smell beautiful for when I get back from the afore-mentioned pub.

There’s an awful lot of “I’m 5’11” and my ideal man must be taller than me when I’m wearing 9″ heals…”

Try putting “must be maximum size 10 with double d baps” and see how long it is before you get hate mail!

Thanks for the pointers, might just smear a bit of silicone round the opening.
It’s only a tiny gap, but the paint hasn’t penetrated beyond it, and it looks like the perfect size to hold water. Probably being over cautious, but rusty gussets aren’t very attractive!

I’m having the same conundrum with an orange Soul. I’ve also come to the conclusion that black is the only option.

Possible gunsmoke, but that’s just pale black, innit.

2 parcels in the post this morning – one of item was out of stock when I ordered but obviously arrived after they’d packed the first item.

Brilliant, never had a single problem in over 6 years or so of using them regularly.

One of the lads I ride with bought a Superstar rear hub, it lasted about 2 months. Stick with a quality brand rather than budget imported cheap tat that has had a Superstar logo laser-etched onto it.

I use the Thermolite ones, about 60 quid at CRC. They have a slightly fleecy pilling on the inside so perfect for winter but not too hot.

    Mine get worn 3 seasons.

Only gripe really is that the logo on the leg is printed, so it cracks. Unlike Assos shorts which use self-coloured fabric. Only a minor gripe though, just about to order another pair as I ripped a new arsehole in a crash last winter and I’ve been flashing too much bumcheek ever since!

I found the DHBs to be very poor quality – flimsey zip and the stitching came under after less than 1 winter’s use. The pad seemed to be too far forward to.

The Endura ones are a great fit and far better quality – similar size-wise to Gore though – large are v-snug on me but I like em that way…

Thanks Phil, I’m using CS5. I think I’ll have to keep trying what you suggested. I was hoping someone had designed some sort of algorithm that would divide the entire spectrum into however many segments are required, or a way of generating a fixed number of colours, all with a similar amount of contrast between them.

    Nice little job for someone!

A couple planned to build a new house, he was diagnosed with stomach cancer at the start of filming and died before work started.

His widow finished the house for herself and the kids. It was very moving, and she showed great strength of character to complete the project. She was a teacher with no building experience.

    Nice house too.

I insulted his argument [ rightly] not the person.

But in your eagerness to try and stir trouble, you completely overlooked the fact that I was making suggestions based on what I clearly admitted were not a full uderstanding of the situation in the hope that others could clarify the facts. That’s how a discussion works. Stick around, you might learn something.

And repeatedly bringing up a jokey putdown that I delivered to another troll does nothing but make you look desperate. 🙄

FFS even your own posts says it is gone after 36 hours so how the hell would it still be there from pre tour use and also not detected before? 🙄

I think we all realised that bit with your totally contradictory explanation of the positive test and subsequent ramblings about thinking only the stage winner is tested.

Is there any need for such an aggressive tone? We’re simply discussing a situation that none of us are fully informed about in the hope that we can, from our collective input, form more informed opinions.

I really don’t think it’s the time or the place for you to be trying to start one of your petty arguments.

Yellow Jersey is always tested regardless of where he finishes.
Usual protocol is Jersey Holders, first three and then 3 randoms.

Cheers Crazy-Legs. How does that fit in with his performance on the 2 days prior to his test?
Could he have stopped taking the drug before making a bid for the yellow jersey or would he already have been tested under that protocol prior to this?

Erm… Because he could have finished cycling the drug before there was any chance of a stage win and the resultant mandatory testing? 🙄

As I said, pure conjecture. I know no more about it than you.

    Shibboleth

So why did it not show up on any of the previous stage tests?

I’m not sure how the dates stack up – and I’ve not got time to trawl through the results etc – but it’s not inconceivable that he cycled the drug when he knew he wouldn’t be winning a stage for 36 hrs (I think I’m right in thinking stage winners are routinely tested).

He didn’t win a single stage this year, even gifting the Tourmalet stage to Schleck – that could have been a strategy to avoid testing.

    Just a thought, I’m no expert…

Quite a coincidence that his food was contaminated with a drug that is widely used by athletes, particularly top level cyclists, and particularly cyclists wanting to lose weight and increase lean muscle mass. Like a hill climber for example.

It’s a drug that is cycled as it becomes tolerated very quickly, so my money is on there having been residual traces left in his body after a pre-tour course. I think that would be more likely than a poor masking agent – there wouldn’t be much need to mask a drug that has gone after 36hrs.

I suspect he took a calculated risk that he wouldn’t get tested until after a stage win, but someone got their sums wrong.

“Revenge. This is an image about rage, hatred, and the discomfort of experiencing those emotions. In “Understanding Joshua” the world is, among other things, divided between blondes and brunettes. The brunettes exist (in the mind of Joshua) on a similar plain as he does, while the blondes inhabit a superior world of cleanliness, beauty, and organization. “Getting Lindsay Linton” illustrates a violent outburst against a blonde, maybe for Joshua’s entertainment, maybe his torture–it is unclear as they hold him and force him to watch. I feel that the image “Fantasy” helps further explain Joshua’s position on such acts against those he perceives as socially superior–at least his repressed urges. “Getting Lindsay Linton” is important because it helps to destabilize reading the events and actions within the image as literal, that is to say, Lindsay does not have milk on her face, and this gang of young men is not just holding her.”

How stange. Oh well, as long as it’s not some sort of illegal alien paedophile porn, it can be my desktop pattern.

I understood that button down shirts were “invented” by by British army officers serving in India. They found that their collars flapped all over the place when playing polo, hence the need for securing them

Apologies if I’m misinformed, I was told this last weekend at a wedding by a young lady that worked for TM Lewin. A quick look on the website shows he was ‘one of the first’ to make a shirt with buttons all the way up the front.
